It's been a long day, but, now, I'm on my late summer break and looking forward to catching my breath and enjoying August. Hope everyone's ready to have a nice weekend.

enjoy you break Beth...relax and go with the flow we never got the promised rain yesterday in spite of all the lightening and thunder... this morning it could go either way..and we ARE promised the tail end of some hurricane little Em..not as lively but most certainly better than she was..

Thanks for the photo, mouse. Em is a very nice looking doggie and she certainly does not look her age.
Our weather is moderate and grey this afternoon. August day.
A rather lazy day, too. Did a little shopping, a little marketing ... deli and salads, catch-as-catch-can supper. Laid back ... rather nice.
Going to find a movie to watch this evening. No more news tonight .. no Iraq, no more terrible people doing terrible things, at least for this weekend. Rest and recuperation for the mind.

Good morning from a wet and windy Chiswick. Big change in the weather after yesterdays sunshine. I spent most of the day planting ceramic poppies in the moat at The Tower Of London. It was a fun filled day for all of us. I can post photo's if anyone would like to see them.

yes she is a very gentle and loving/needy little dog who really doesn't look her age one of my daft friemds sent her a getwell card..and like us they are quite amazed at the difference in her from last week..even though things are not right with her.. its raining and quite cold..so think its going to be an indoors day..haven't had the storm from the hurricane we were supposed to get..well not yet we haven't..although I understand some parts of the country are flooded I hope this doesn't mean summer is over

The wet, if the weather forecasters are to be believed, is your fair share of the Caribbean storms that blew through that part of the world earlier in the week. Maybe it will be over, soon. Tonight, is the super moon. We've had a thick cloud cover all day and, only now, has the sun broken through. Be nice to think we'll be able to see it but a lot of clouds are still hanging around.

Everything I read (not much, actually, but a little) said the southern part of England and Wales would get most of the storms. Tomorrow may be a nice summer day for you.
