Good morning, Who .. mouse ... Sugi's kitty. Yesterday was too hot here, plus, I ate something that didn't agree with me at a cookout over the weekend and felt terrible the whole day. Working from home today, sorting through loose odds and ends. Another scorcher is forecast so am probably going to stay close to the AC. It very early .. just now daylight. Since I went to bed early, it's a rare chance to see the sun come up. Hope everyone has a great day.

70° with a little bit of rain that wet everything down!!! not enough to help in the drought but will hopefully put a damper on the possibilities of wildfires.

so far its a dry morning although rain is forcast for later.... in fact if it does rain...it will inspire me to get on with a few jobs..the ones I am loathe to do when the sun shines and the only place to be is outside

We have some much needed rain here in Chiswick, not that I mind too much as it means I don't have to water the garden. The 9 corn seeds I planted at the beginning of the season have really come on a treat. Lots of nice corn cobs on them, all ready for picking. Will try and post some photo's later today.

Good for you, Ms Who. Nothing is as good as sweet corn on the cob with real butter. We have em almost every night while they're in season. Looks like we'll have rain this afternoon. Means I'll get home early. That'll work.

Good luck with the veggies, Who. I'm sure they'll be wonderful. People this side of the pond are fresh corn crazy in the summertime. My son-in-law has a very good recipe he is asked to bring to get-togethers. I'll see if he'll share it with me for the purpose of posting here. Love the tom cat, Sugi. Handsome fellow. mouse, this is my last week at work until late September. Hopefully, I'll have the luxury of getting my days and times mixed up.

Thank you, Beth, I intend to. Harvest time and my harvest fruits came from our farmer's market. We paid them a visit today and came home with beautiful carnival corn, a string bag of perfect onions, tomatoes and locally grown peaches. Peach cobbler tomorrow!
