well march went out like a lion in this part of the world three garden chairs[plastic] broken by being flung down the garden by the wind...not exactly a great loss but we did use them when we sat down to eat outside] several trees in pots blown over but undamaged...a piece of fencing gone beyond repair..and still the wind howls though not as bad as yesterday..and in the rest of the area..branches down fencing down..the tarp from some ones shed roof went flying across the field.. and so cold and wet too...sleet at times all in all quite horrid it was the 2 bin collection morning and quite a number were blown down the road so the bin man told me and one brown bin cardboard and plastic had blown over the contents scattered and blown all over the place all in all quite horrid

Nice calendar, Beth, and lovely flowers, mouse. Thank you.
I am still using the top o' the morning theme. It is so springlike it reminds me of walking barefoot through a field of clover or shamrock.
Very springlike here today. Temps in the high 60s F and a lot of sunshine.

Over the hump and in the right turn lane that leads to Easter weekend. As I think erveryone knows, we don't have4 government holidays for religious weekends but my place of work schedules a little "spring fling" weekend to help us get past that. That way, we have a 4 day weekend, courtesy of the Center ... they calkl it Spring Fling. I call it, "very nice of them".

at last the winds died down..and whats more we have a blue/grey sky and some weak sunshine not warm though..but its oh so wet underfoot due to recent rain...one can only hope for a change for the better easter weekend coming up..they can for the sake of PC call it bank holiday or spring weekend..to suit the sensebilities of in comers or what ever....but in my world..its Easter...good Friday..Easter sunday and easter Monday....and the pc mob can go hang them selves...a time for those of a Christian religious bent to enjoy the most important Christian event in the calender...and those with no bent what so ever to indulge in chocky eggs and fluffy rabbits and fluffy yellow easter chicks I really do fail to see what is gained by altering a tradition...a tradition older than Christianity just to accomadate newcomers...any one who can be offended by a chocolate easter egg or a hot cross bun must be in a very poor mental state state

Hope everyone has a happy Easter!
I'm off to church tomorrow for Good Friday and we won't eat any meat that day.
Probably over the next few days I won't be online much because Mike and I have a lot of decorating to do in three rooms in our house!
But I'll try and pop in to see what's going on!

a grey warm mild but damp good Friday at long last we have the greening...with trees at long last going that step beyond buds...yesterdays sun must have been warmer than I thought...so at last spring is on its way... not mild enough to cast a clout but certainly mild enough to open windows.... just had an invite to stay at a friends..but don't think I can fit it in this month..as April is hetic with so many things happening[including a trip to a chocolate factory yummy]... and a must attend weekend at son 1s who is throwing a big party to celebrate his 55th birthday though I think I may just book into a nearby hotel as his parties go on to the early hours and are rather noisy ... my days of partying till 3-4am are past..

What a lovely photo, mouse.
Jumbo, you are talking about tornados, aren't you? It was very warm here with storms yesterday and our warning sirens were going off but no wind to speak of. It is chilly today so instead of wind we got a front!
We heard that the GE plant at Appliance Park in Louisville caught fire and turned into a very destructive situation, but no casualties. My husband worked there at one time years ago. I believe I heard they had 6,000 employees.
