They've forecast a chilly morning with passing showers, then more showers off and on during a warmer day. Candice Bergen is releasing a new book about her life in the U.S. and France ... why her father left something in his will for Charlie McCarthy but not for her, and her daughter who will be getting married soon. Here's a link of the article for any of you who might enjoy it, too. www.cbsnews.com/entertainment/Goodnight fellow night owls in the U.S.. By the time you're here to read, it will be morning for you, too.

i colored eggs last night. i'm a happy boy Wow! You have a stronger stomach than I do. I really really hate the smell of boiled eggs and vinegar. I did it a lot longer than I wanted to. Now, I get all the Russell Stover varieties and jelly bellies and a few peeps and arrange them in baskets and a big ol' crystal lazy susan and put them around here and there. There's a luittle shop down in Newport that creates hand dipped eggs - wonderful. Leaving in a few for brunch where there will be omelets, bacon and mimosas. That will be good enough this year. i'm strange though. the smell of vinegar doesn't bother me at all. the only way to eat spinach is, cold, lots of mayonaise, hot, lots of vinegar

We seem to have been adopted by a cat; I think he originally belonged to the people living in the house in the street behind ours but he's been coming into our garden for a month and being us we feed him.
At first he had a collar on but then it was taken off and the house where I think he came from was empty as the family moved out.
I think it's terrible to abandon an animal like that; we've had to take him in because we can't bear to see him just left to fend for himself.
He's very big for a cat and very feisty; we've decided to call him Tiger. He's a beautiful tabby cat.

I don't know why this is, Linda, but it has been my experience "found" or "rescued" cats often turn out to be the very best pets. I have had 3, 2 females and 1 tom. Each was a unique personality and a joy all the years of their lives. Good luck with yours. Yesterday was a wonderful day. The little girls in their summer dresses with pristine white sweaters buttoned up to their chins to keep them warm. It was not cold but there were chilly gusts of wind around almost every corner. Today, there has been rain and a loud thunderclap just now tells me it's coming back.

I like to have a simple kit and then use food coloring to get darker and different shades out of them. Orange and lime green and violet and chocolate brown. Did you ever blow the egg out and color the shells to hang on trees? It's a lot of trouble but pretty cool for a display.

Love the photo. Where is that. You have such a great eye for color combos. No idea what the day has in store here, weather wise. Back later when there's daylight. This is cleaning helper-lady day. I can kick back a little.

All the shades and, then, TIE DYED!!
