H'm. I will have your babies. While he's playing tennis, maybe? I don't think the Wimbledon officials would quite like that. Don't panic about Nadal. At the moment, I'm more interested in how Hewitt is going.

He's not gonna do Nadal and he's in that side of the draw. However. Some one may take Rog out and I think that's a possibility. Rog is pretty vulnerable.

I think Hewitt can win this match. He won't win Wimbledon but if he wins this, I think he'll take Federer. Don't bet on that.www.crunchsports.com/category/Tennis/Lleyton-Hewitt-vs-Novak-Djokovic-Preview--Wimbledon-4th-round-201006280007/All of the top 8 pre-tournament favorites have survived thus far at Wimbledon 2010 as they have gone a combined 24-0. One of them has to fall in the round of 16 however as Lleyton Hewitt and Novak Djokovic are the 8th and 6th favorites for the Wimbledon title respectively. They will meet one another in the 4th round of Wimbledon on Monday in what is a very highly anticipated match. Djokovic is coming in as the favorite in the match. Djokovic has clearly gotten the better of Hewitt in their head to head series as the Serbian leads 3-1 with Hewitt's lone victory coming from way back in 2006. Importantly, Djokovic has beaten Hewitt on grass twice including at Wimbledon in 2007 and Hewitt has only taken one individual set off of Hewitt in 6 sets of grass court head to head play. But as far as form at Wimbledon goes so far this year, Hewitt's is a little bit better. The Australian is 9-1 in sets played, provided that you count the set he won via retirement against Evgeny Korolev, while Djokovic is 9-2 in sets played. In terms of games wons, Hewitt has been playing better as well: Djokovic: 62-40 in games played (won 60.8%) Hewitt: 57-32 in games played (won 64.0%) Djokovic has had the easier draw as Hewitt had to face Gael Monfils in the third round while Djokovic has only had Olivier Rochus, Taylor Dent, and Albert Montanes to contend with. Djokovic, for a third ranked player, has been a disappointment so far this year and he may lose a few more ranking spots to the competition over the hardcourt season if he does not regain the form that saw him through to the US Open semifinals last fall. Djokovic is 0-2 against the top 10 in 2010 and the best player he has beaten this calendar year in terms of straight rank is only Mikhail Youzhny (Dubai final; Youzhny was ranked 15th). Hewitt is not a top 10 player on tour but he has played like one for a short stretch of time again. Winning the Halle title over Federer prior to Wimbledon and advancing back into the round of 16 attests to the Aussie's form and more importantly, his desire - something that Djokovic may be lacking at this point in his career

Oh yeah. Venus got the boot.edition.cnn.com/2010/SPORT/tennis/06/29/wimbledon.venus.pironkova.clijsters/index.html?hpt=T2&fbid=oZFb2Shfm_8Five-time champion Venus Williams sensationally crashed out in the quarterfinals of Wimbledon to unheralded Bulgarian Tsvetana Pironkova on Tuesday. World number 82 Pironkova took advantage of erratic play by the second seed to win 6-2 6-3 in one hour 26 minutes. She is the first Bulgarian to make it to the semifinals at Wimbledon. The shocks did not end there as U.S Open champion Kim Clijsters went out to Russian Vera Zvonareva in their quarterfinal match. She beat the Belgian ace for the first time in her career, coming back from a set down to put out the eighth seed 3-6 6-4 6-2 on Centre Court. But top seed Serena Williams avoided further upsets as she beat Li Na of China 7-5 6-3 to reach the quarterfinals. Ninth seed Li pressed the defending champion in the opener, but lost her service in the 11th game, having been 40 love up. Williams served out for the opening set and a single break in the next was enough to secure victory.

Venus and Serena out in the doubles!!!!! Wow....they have been so dominant!!!
and best of all.......FEDERER IS OUT!!!!!!
Gabe.....I know everyone says he is such a nice guy.......but really....he's only nice when he's winning.....he didn't say one nice thing about the guy that beat him....only had excuses about why he didn't play well......then you have to see what he had to say to this question......
The reporter was asking about Andy Murray's chances......
"Q. I wonder if you think this might be his year, given some of the really threatening players haven't been doing so well this year.
ROGER FEDERER: Yeah, I mean, true, Rafa played terribly lately; Soderling is not a threat either. He's got an easy ride to this victory, that's for sure. Djokovic can't play tennis anymore it seems like. "
He barely shook the guys hand at the net at the end of the game......I'm surprised he didn't sit down and pout or cry.
Rafa lost the first set to Soderling.....was down 5-0 (ended up losing it 6-3) but won the next three sets......but when he was asked about it.....He said Soderling was playing better than him and was a really good server.....that he was tough to come back against. He always gives the other player credit.

Now, don't sharpen your claws on Rog. He cries easily. I told you he was beatable.wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=1078914Nadal plotting to win back his crown By Darren Walton 14:23 AEST Thu Jul 1 2010 Maybe the king isn't dead. Perhaps he's just one the other side the draw, plotting to seize back his crown. While tennis fans on Wednesday were pondering the demise of six-time champion Roger Federer - and some were busily preparing his Wimbledon obituary - others saw Rafael Nadal quietly clearing a path back to his throne. The throne he ruefully relinquished last year without a fight, unable to defend his 2008 title because of problems with his troublesome knees. As a finalist at the All England Club every year since 2002, Federer, along with Britain's great hope Andy Murray, commanded most of the attention during the first week-and-a-half of the 124th championships. Murray - who will reportedly become a STG50 million ($A89 million global brand should be become Britain's first grand slam in 74 years - will continue to receive top billing after overcoming Jo-Wilfried Tsonga 6-7 (5-7) 7-6 (7-5) 6-2 6-2 to set up a blockbuster last-four meeting with Nadal on Friday. The smart money, though, is on Nadal, who makes no secret of his desperation to repeat his Bjorn Borg-like French Open-Wimbledon double of two years ago.And to do it over and over. "This is a very important part of the season for me," said Nadal after withstanding a first-set onslaught to see off Swedish sixth seed Robin Soderling 3-6 6-3 7-6 (7-4) 6-1 in a rematch of their Roland Garros title decider. Since returning to full fitness after retiring from his Australian Open quarter-final against Murray in January, Nadal has completed a four-tournament unbeaten claycourt campaign, regained his world No.1 ranking and extended his Wimbledon winning streak to 12 matches. His only defeats at the All England Club since 2005 have come at the hands of Federer. The 24-year-old was trailing Murray two sets to love and 3-0 when he called it quits at Melbourne Park. But back in "perfect" condition again - "touch wood" - despite a scare in his five-set third-round win over Philipp Petzschner, Nadal believes he is ready to show he's the man once more."I was very happy about my level in those two sets (in Melbourne)," he said. "I lost both, but I was ready to win both, too. I was a break up in both sets. "Maybe the only thing, I had a mistake in that moment (I needed to) stay a little bit more calm. "And I have confidence now because I won a lot of matches in the last few months." Murray had won precious few between Melbourne and London, but looks to warming to the challenge of ending one of sport's most famous droughts. The Scottish fourth seed was the only player not to have dropped a set before the quarter-finals, but proved in rallying from a set and mini break down in the second-set tiebreaker against Tsonga that he is also willing to fight. "The first couple of the sets were very close. He was going for huge shots and not giving me a rhythm," Murray said. "I felt a lot better after that and I'll need to play great tennis in the semis. "It would obviously be incredible winning a grand slam. It's obviously why you play the game. "Obviously if it was here, to win the first one, would make it extra special. "But I'm a long, long way from doing that. Six sets away, and have to beat the No.1 in the world if I even want to have a chance of doing that." Federer's quarter-final conqueror Tomas Berdych will take on Serbian third seed Novak Djokovic in Friday's other semi.

Petulant Roger. H'm.wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=1079221I'm not over and out, vows Federer By Darren Walton 16:25 AEST Thu Jul 1 2010 Roger Federer vowed to dominate tennis again before making a hurried escape out the Wimbledon gates. Ungracious in defeat, Roger Federer vowed to dominate tennis again before making a hurried escape out the Wimbledon exit gates. Federer was in no mood for niceties after his shock quarter-final loss to Czech Tomas Berdych on Wednesday, blaming anything and everything for his earliest departure since 2002. The six-time champion stunned the world's tennis media with a petulant display in his post-match press conference, paying little credit to world No.13 Berdych, who booked a semi-final on Friday against Novak Djokovic with an emphatic 6-3 3-6 6-1 6-4 victory. "I'm unhappy with the way I'm playing. I couldn't play the way I wanted to play. I am struggling with a little bit of a back and a leg issue," Federer moaned. "That just doesn't quite allow me to play the way I would like to play. So it's frustrating, to say the least. "When you're hurting, it's just a combination of many things. You just don't feel as comfortable. "You can't concentrate on each and every point because you do feel the pain sometimes. "And then you tend to play differently than the way you want to play." Federer said the injuries first began troubling him in the final of Wimbledon lead up tournament Halle three weeks ago when Lleyton Hewitt toppled the winner of 16 grand slam titles for the first time in seven years. "The back's been feeling stiff the last five days, six days really badly. Also in the finals of Halle," he said. "It's just something that's been lingering on the grass." Like Juan Martin del Potro had in last year's US Open defeat of Federer, 24-year-old Berdych overpowered the world No.2 with a barrage of flatly-struck groundstrokes from the back of the court. But Federer insisted he didn't need to adjust his game if he's to keep up."I played these guys 10 times. They're not going to reinvent themselves in a year, you know," he snapped. "I'm definitely struggling at the moment." Claiming the bounce of the ball went against him and that he threw the match away, Federer only gave Berdych minor credit. "He played well when he had to," the top seed said."It was brutal for me. Every time he had a chance, he took it. On the break points, he played great on those. "Then when I had chances early on, I was actually not too bad. I just felt like I got the unlucky bounce once in a while and, 30-all, he got it on the line over and over again. "He was able to come up with some good stuff. But I definitely gave away this match, I feel." In addition to thwarting his quest to equal Pete Sampras's open-era record of seven Wimbledon titles, Federer's defeat almost certainly also put paid to his chances of matching the American's feat of finishing as the year-end world No.1 six times. He will drop outside the top two next week for the first time since November, 2003.The defeat followed a quarter-final loss at the French Open which ended his run of 23 consecutive grand slam semi-finals appearances. But the 28-year-old father of two vowed to hit back, saying he still believes he can dominate. "Sure. God, I can't wait for Paris and Wimbledon to come around next year again, that's for sure, because they've been frustrating tournaments for me, even though it wasn't too bad," Federer said. "Quarters is a decent result. Obviously people think quarters is shocking, but people would die to play in quarter-final stages of grand slam play. "It's not something I'm used to doing." The sulking Swiss said he wouldn't bother watching Sunday's final - "I'll be on vacation" - and refused to tip who might take his crown."Let's wait and see who gets through. But, as we don't know, I can't answer. What a pity," he said. Federer departed with a sarcastic response to a question from a British reporter who asked if this could be Andy Murray's year now that "some of the really threatening players" are out. "Yeah, I mean, true, Rafa (Nadal) played terribly lately;" he said. Serena against Russian Vera. I think Williams. Sigh. I am so over the Williams. Go away. Please.

I like Venus.....she's always very nice and gives the other players credit. Serena is a lot like Federer......but she's not even that nice when she's winning.
Djokovic just lost to Berdych. Berdych is playing really really well! He's going to be tough in the final.
