You know Roger did...........he was off the court so fast he practically sprinted.
I haven't watched any of the Germany matches......and most of the London stuff has been in morning so I catch a little bit while I'm getting ready for work.
I'm watching Schuettler and Querrey right now. First set was a killer.....tie break to 11-9 (I think) with Schuettler taking it.
Tennis Channel has been running this ongoing thing of Serena in Africa or somewhere helping to build schools.....I don't know if she is trying to rebuild her image from last years episode of threatening to kill that linesman or what..........can't stand her though.

Going to be Roger against Leyton in Germany........He's beat Hewitt the last 15 games......would really love it if Hewitt could pull a rabbit out of his racket.........

10 years ago I would have taken that bet. Hewitt just doesn't have it any more. He should give it up and go and spend his millions. But, if he's on a good day, he might push Rog to 4, maybe even 5 sets. But I won't hold my breath.

The little bugger. Took Federer in 3.
H'm. OK, teaches Rog a lesson but....I wouldn't back Hewitt at Wimbledon. So, he'll go in more confident and he might make semis. It's always possible.
But no-one's gonna take Nadal out.
Be interested to see what the draw looks like.

I don't think Rog will waste too much time in reflection on this. If I was him I'd go home and roll around the floor in a million or so of cash.

This just annoys me.........and makes dislike Fed even more...... "Roger Federer doesn't want to offend Rafael Nadal, the man he acknowledges as the king of clay, but the world No 1 believes that winning the French Open can be less than a full test of a man's tennis. "On clay you don't need to have a volley," Federer says. "You almost don't need to have a serve. All you need to have is legs, an incredible forehand and backhand and to run things down. I'm not trying to take anything away from Rafa, because he's an exception and he did everything on other surfaces as well, but I think you can get away with having problems with your game on clay more than you can on other surfaces. "On a hard court you can lure a guy in and do many more things. You almost have to have more feel. On clay, I don't want to say it's too simple, that you just have to keep the ball in court and wait for a mistake, but sometimes it's too easy." www.independent.co.uk/sport/tennis/federer-on-clay-you-dont-need-a-volley-or-a-serve-its-too-easy-1979825.html

Don't fret Miss sadie. There's the next fortnight to get through and then we'll see how good Nadal's game is on grass.Or will Rog be eating his words?

wwos.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=1071154Hewitt benefits from Wimbledon seeding By Darren Walton21:50 AEST Wed Jun 16 2010 Lleyton Hewitt's Wimbledon prospects received a massive boost on Wednesday when the All England Club awarded him the No.15 seeding for the grasscourt grand slam event starting on Monday.Hewitt was the major beneficiary of Wimbledon's controversial seeding policy, in which officials use their discretion to promote or demote players if they see fit. Wimbledon is the only one of the four annual majors to use the system - and only employs it for the men's event. Hewitt is ranked 26th in the world but Wimbledon officials have clearly taken notice of the Australian's surprise victory over six-time champion Roger Federer in last weekend's grasscourt final in Halle Hewitt's seedings boost means he is guaranteed to avoid a showdown with Federer until at least the fourth round. Had he been seeded according to his ranking, Hewitt could well have run into Federer - or one of the other top-eight seeds, in the third round. Hewitt, the 2002 champion at the All England Club, was the last player to win Wimbledon before Federer began dominating the following year. In addition to his '02 Wimbledon triumph, Hewitt has won the traditional lead-up event at Queen's on four occasions and boasts 98 career wins on grass, the most of any active player on tour - the great Federer included. After suffering just his second grasscourt defeat in eight years on Sunday, Federer spoke about why Hewitt is such an accomplished performer on the surface. "He plays flat and deep into the court which makes it hard," Federer said. "You have to play up against the ball instead of being able to sort of hit down on the ball." Wimbledon officials also opted to promote Federer to top seed ahead of world No.1 Rafael Nadal, the only other player in the 128-strong men's draw to have won the title.Three-time runner-up Andy Roddick was another winner at the seedings announcement, the world No.7 awarded the No.5 seeding ahead of higher-ranked pair Nikolay Davydenko and Robin Soderling. Defending champion Serena Williams is the women's top seed ahead of sister and five-time winner Venus, with Australia's French Open runner-up Samantha Stosur seeded sixth. Stosur is ranked seventh in the world but will benefit slightly from the absence of injured world No.6 Elena Dementieva.

How much longer? It's taking forever..................
Did you see the draw? Looks like James Blake will have to play Rafa 2nd........darn it.....I really like Blake......don't think he can take Rafa though. Soderling is in the same half as Rafa also.

It's just a cake walk ( ref Dire Straits ). I think Nadal's got the Soderling troll off his back. Where are you Roger? Amigo, Roger, where are you? Do not hide from me. I am your friend. Let's play a game of tennis Roger....
