Hi Beth. Nature is always amazing in my opinion, I'm continually in awe of it.!!! We have definitely a lot to be grateful for, that's for sure.!!!

re:fair It's a pity about the scarcity of animals, but no doubt there were other interesting stalls? They do take advantage of the public on these occasions by raising the price of food. You could always take some sandwiches with you and a thermos. Hi Chefmate.

Just got home but stopped at Winco on way home. It's a heatwave today...70°!!! Fair was good but not going tomorrow..not as many beef as last year and just won't part with $4 for a corndog. Watching thw way those carnival rides throw a person around so not surprised I'm a little daffy 50 years later lol 70 degrees F sounds perfect to me, Chris. Did they have good arts and crafts? I never think of fairs that it doesn't make me think of Wilbur in Charlotte's Web. "Some Pig" I couldn't find any arts and crafts....I think each year less people participare in livestock and home crafts

They are all sitting at their computers instead of taking interest in personal achievement. I would be willing to bet that's a fact. That is one reason I enjoy going to Tennessee for a few weeks in the summer. Most of the people we know there use their computers for a few things but turn them off and shut them down most of the time.
Ah yes, Beth, Zuckerman's famous pig. : )

If they'd gone to those lengths, they would have taken it all the way to victory. From this distance, all looked to be fair and square. Hope you are sleeping tonight with an easier mind. It's a little cooler here. After 3 major storms in the past 2 days, I'm not surprised. Planning to get a good night's sleep. West Virginia, one of our neighboring states, has had horrible floods - 18 fatalities at last count.
