Fathers' Day on a Monday? Haha! I suppose you mean it is Monday in your time zone? So! Did you celebrate FD on Sunday (yesterday for you)? Or, is it celebrated on a different day of the year where you live?

here UK FD is a relatively new phenomina...some do celebrate my family and others we know ignore it totally...the card and pressie sellers all advertise because of course they make money..i noticed a couple of adds on TV urging people to buy their goods Mothering sunday is an old tradition..but that is being turned into mothers day and very comecialised

wet and dark..considering tomorrow is the lonest day...the run up has been pretty dreary with needing to put the lights on by 8-9 at night when it should have been light until coming up to 11pm the poor garden is being bashed by the rain and what would have been a great show of roses totally spoilt..which is such a shame

Okay, so I've spent the last hour of the longest day of the year playing around in music. Lots of fun .. really nice. But, in spite of tomorrow being a work from home day .. it IS a work day and it's time to move on to "shower and sleep". See you later and ... have a good'un

It must have been a day filled with anticipation for tomorrow, mouse. We certainly wish you success and a celebration to finish off the week.
We have had a hot muggy day with a nice drenching rain in the late afternoon.
There WAS a strawberry moon on Monday night. We had hoped to get pictures, but the fully leafed out trees blocked our view too much by the time we thought to get out the camera.
Since the rain, it is a little cooler. Hoping for a good nights sleep.

boy arrived last night..he has come home to vote..but returning tomorrow but any excuse to see him is ok with me and yes the anticipation is growing...a friend emailed me earlier says she has that feeling you get in when you have to face something really big...and have to admit I feel it too...knowing of course if we vote out so many difficulties will be heaped upon us by those who do not wish us well..what sort of revenge and obsticals will be put in placed and if we vote remain can we really accept the changes we know are on the cards..more money..the EU army and no control over our own country still...a deep breath and shoulders back.....
a Dry morning....possibility of sun...we will go the three of us to vote later when daughter returns...shes out for the day with friends

How cool! Thanks, Shades. You have to be joking Beth, with weather like that I'm hiding in a spot well away from the window, certainly not taking pictures. WOW.!!!

Yes but the effects are beautiful, and those are terrific shots. We've had awful storms here on and off today (Thursday). Another is starting .. boomers in the distance.
