Happy Beltane, May Day or just plain ol' Friday the 1st. It's the 5th month of the year already. Here come the warm temperatures, here come the leaves and flowers. We made it through another winter and are about to be plopped right into the middle of spring. Enjoy!!! Carry on

We are forecast low to mid 70s F next week and that suits me fine. Too early for the 90s.

Sounds like a nice day in spit of the weather, Mouse. It's been mid-70s here all iday, kJim. Sunny and gorgeous.
I had to pitch in and help some family members so didn;'t get the usual mint-julep relaxing Derby Day. Was hoping I'd get back in time to spend the race time here with Fret but missed by a lot. My loss.
Can't complain about the winner - American Pharoah. Looks like a great prospect for the triple crown to me.
Be back after supper and a good rest.
BTW, the April Member of the Month contest poll is open until tomorrow at noon so if you haven't vited ... please do.

My grandchildren are much better and have spent their weekend playing at home in the sun.
Back to the regular daily activities tomorrow, now that the Derby and the boxing are over.
May your weekend end on a happy note.

It's been partly cloudy with a few showers today but the sun is getting bolder and the rest of the afternoon may turn off clear. Lots of rumors in regard to world affairs floating around here having to do with a flood of immigrants and ISIS connections. Hard to know whether they are honorable or political at the moment. Ear to the ground, eye to the sky, unless you want a nice peaceful dinner table atmosphere ... then, cheerfully ignore! Mouse, I hope you and daughter have a restful and cheering few days. I'll only be working a couple of days this week and today was one . The reason is rather regrettable because I may need to go into hospital for a short stay. They're supposed to let me know tomorrow. In the meantime. ... watching the Brit elections shape up and ... the naming of the Princess. Also, feeling a bit stunned to learn Ruth Rendall has died at 85 when I could have sworn she died years ago. She was part of my childhood English mysteries reading mania. I guess I supposed she was a little old lady 45 years ago! Here's an obit link. www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-32564813''

Watching the cable news with interest. Be well Beth. Stay calm.
