what really sucks is that, even though it is only 22 right now, the sun is out, pretty bright. that means that some of it is going to melt. tomorrow, instead of snow, it will be ice, which is a lot worse If you don't hear it dripping somewhere outside, that sunshine is too weak toi help. If you could wait 2 more days it would be good. If you can't, be reallllll careful. This was close to Elizabethtown, yesterday afternoon. Between you and me.

It will be a little warmer tomorrow, too (kind of like today) so if iyou try it, wait until afternoon or get someone to bring you some rock salt. Fret's out this evening and I'll be here about an hour at which time I need to finish settiang up another cold weather supper - beef stew and salad. Again - stay warm if at all possible. today should be the last cold day for awhile. this morning was the coldest that it has ever been in nashville on march 6, when it got down to 9. we were at 5 at 4am. it's 36 this afternoon, and the sun has been shining all day. it's wiped out a couple of inches of the snow. of course, it is supposed to be 18 tonight, so, it will be ice in the morning, but, it's supposed to be mid forties tomorrow, finally

Between you and me. the pics on the news this morning showed I40 almost like that. I65 yesterday in kentucky was a real mess. it's been dripping from our roof most of the day. we have a river alongside the house when it rains, and the snow melting is coming down fairly good too. i absolutely have to get out tomorrow. hazel is insisting on going to walmart to get my birthday present. she's been out of soda since this morning. i guess the roads, that we have to use anyway, are okay. the issue is going to be getting out of the driveway unscathed

Ohio is just starting to venture into the high 30s. Sun is glittering on the snow today but is just not strong enough to start the thaw. As for college sports seasons, March is the end of it for a few months and I'm ready to move on. Ohio State won the national championship for football and now it appears our neighbor, Kentucky will win the title for basketball. That's great but that's enough. I'm ready for Easter parades and Derby horse races and warm days. Thank you for the flowers, mouse. I am looking forward to my dogwood tree blooms.

It's still a little nippy here and winter seems to drag. Derby season is looking awfully good to me, too. Jim, we're forecast to hit 60 midweek. I'm surprised the males in the household aren't already dragging in bags of charcoal for a grill out. <sigh> It's really pretty out this evening but still warm jacket weather. Here it is, Sunday and at the end of another weekend already. Fret's in rehearsal hall tonight and I'm here for a little while. Chicken and dumplings for supper. Hope everyone has had a good weekend!
