That is a very attractive calendar, Dex. Thank you!
Another lovely day and near perfect summer night. Outside, the air smells like flowers. Very much like the summers of my childhood.

September, here, usually calls for both warm weather and cool weather clothing - moderate.
So, coats won't be needed for several weeks (or about 2 months) and we can manage with sweaters and light to mid-weight jackets.

Students arriving today in the rented houses on the estate, all with loads of stuff provided by Mummy and Daddy, they attend URI (University of Rhode Island), which is an easy car drive. Good weather as well, I sanded our deck and stained it, second coat goes on tomorrow so it's ready for winter. We will be wandering down to the sea soon because with the hurricane the swells are massive and breaking along the sea defences is a spectacular sight !!

Sounds nice, Toby1. We had a good weekend, too.
I hope the people in the path of the storm make it okay.

a fine overcast morning with a light breeze...the garden is a mess after the rains and winds recently..... the washing machine appears to have died... unfortunately with my washing in it...including a couple of tunic tops only recently acquired.... any way daughter has rung a man who repairs... although quite often its cheaper in the long run to buy a new one than pay called out and other fees...but this one is only about `15months or so old so taking a chance its menable .. hey ho

Good luck with repairs, mouse. Maybe you could rinse your tops and hang them out to dry since it isn't raining.
Another lovely day here. I overslept and now have to make a market run to pick up the things I forgot before the weekend.
My daughter in law and I have been putting together a list of the best cakes, ever. I hope to post them - with recipes -in the food forum before long.
High hopes everyone here has a good day and that the storm moving toward Florida wears itself out on the way.

Same kind of day we've had for a couple of weeks. Sunny and warm. Looks like the middle of the summer.
