It's still exactly like the height of summer here. The temperature got up to 91F yesterday afternoon. The forecast for today is more of the same. We set out a second batch of strawberry plants and they are full of berries that should be ripe by the weekend.

It's warm here, too with "hot" forecast for this afternoon. I'm off work today and taking daughter and 2 of her friends to the pool for a few hours.

Beautiful weather here. I thought we would get some of the blow back from the hurricane as we have in the past, but that did not happen. We are thinking of going to a fall festival this coming weekend.
I have been to Ren Faires in the past, Annie. What did you do when you worked there? Not mud wrestling, I hope!

Our forecast here says low 90s F for today. Blue sky, no clouds.
I have to go to an in-house training session this afternoon. Best to all here.

It's midsummer hot today and, according to the forecast, the same tomorrow and Saturday.

We had a touch of much needed rain, rest of the week is going to be dry with sunshine, I did a refit on our Deck and it's almost ready. The Students at Rhode Island University have been arriving to take up their rented homes in the estate, it's very quiet and crime-free here so Parents like their offspring to avoid the fleshpots of Providence and go into digs where it is bucolic and quiet. One downside is that the Students think they can speed with impunity but the Police are very active and have numerous radar controls so they pull the Students in for speeding and also get the chance to check if their ,'out of state registered', cars are legal, many are not !

The weather forecasts are telling us we'll have very warm to hot temperatures and very little rain for the next week or so. We are invited to 2 cookouts this weekend, making the best of a good situation.

Getting a break from the hot weather today.
It's warm and pleasant with a few clouds.
Nothing much planned except for having dinner at my parents house tonight.

The end of a beautiful day,. Tomorrow's weather is going to be the same.
We are tossing around the idea of, maybe, getting a dog. It would encourage us to get out and walk more.

Take it slow and easy. How much time are you willing to give to your dog every day. You can't just expect your pet to adapt to your schedule unless you set aside pet-time and stick with it.

What we have often told people thinking about getting a dog is to put a piece of Paper with a line down the center on the kitchen table. On one side put the title “wants” and on the other “don’t wants”. Every time you think of something about having a dog list it on one side or the other of that list. There are well over 400 types of dogs and all have unique attributes. After a while your list will have excluded some breeds and be inclusive of others. Then go to your library and get a book descriptive of dog breeds. Very quickly you’ll select down to 3 or 4 breeds. Then begin to search for breeders of those breeds. What you are looking for are breeders that are responsible for the breeds they raise. Go to those breeders and talk with them about their breeds. You’ll soon find one you want. When you get home with the dog, find a local trainer and join a class. Or, Just do what most people do and buy a dog from the paper or go to your local humane society. The point is you are acquiring a new family member and youo want one that works into your life style.
