I wonder why the July flowers at the top of the thread are not as bountiful as the June flowers were.
Oh well ...
Carry on.

another rerun of this gloom which seems to have over taken what is officially our summer
and this sort of weather is why the dark ages were named the dark ages... all down to weather and not as many mistakenly think any thing to do with learning /invention or innovation

I must not be part of the "many" because I can't remember ever thinking such a thing.
I'm sorry it's dreary there, mouse. I'd give you some of this bright sunshine if I could. There are also a few puffy clouds so we may have a shower later today. Time will tell.
Beth, the July calendar looks just fine. Very nice in fact.

I don't want to brag or make anybody jealous, but...I can still fit into the earrings I wore in high school.

Get well, soon, Scottish Lassie. mouse, there is a book, A World Lit Only By Fire by William Manchester that I enjoyed reading enormously. It should not be used as a study guide as he has used mostly second hand sources and is intended to be a "humanized" version to capture interest and appeal to the casual reader. But, it is a good starter book to read for pleasure and if you require dry history - go from there to more scholarly texts. Here is the Amazon paperback at a good price or it should be available in libraries. www.amazon.com/World-Lit-Only-Fire-Publisher/dp/B004S3L14Y/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_14_img_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=Y72SQWFMMMQ20202G646

Get well soon, Mouse!
I know you're not religious but I hope you won't be offended if I pray for you!
