The whole year has flown by, Beth. It only seem like yesterday we were getting the shop ready for Christmas. We start getting it ready for next Christmas next week.

Well funny enough I have spent this whole year since January 4, dealing with this lung issue and it might be ending on November 5th if everything goes as I want. It's been a really tough year with both my sister's and my own self.
On November 1st I'm getting a really nice chair and footstool from Ikea. I tried this chair out in the summer of 2012 and I just loved it then. I deserve something comfortable and nice.

I hope your test results show you're getting where you need to be, Sug_witch.
Everyone deserves a few nice things that they enjoy.

Yes we all deserve a treat now and then so I hope you enjoy your chair and footstool Sugi_Witch. Today has been cold.. winter is here and the shops are already full of Christmas items. It was so hard to get up this morning, cold and dark, but the clocks will go back at the end of October so we get an extra hour in bed!

I am always glad to see daylight savings time arrive and almost equally glad to see it end.
We still have lots of sunshine almost every day, but the summer heat is over and it feels like fall. No coats yet but a sweater feels good from the middle of the afternoon on.

getting colder here....winter is on its way.. not in really thick woollies/feeces clothes yet...but getting there rapidly already had lightish frosts during the night...and have rooted out my winter boots etc ...and put the winter grips that I attach to an old pair of boots in a handy place ready for action rather wet and windy this morning
Sugi..I hope things improve for you

I feel the same way, Icelandic Woman. I love fall weather but it is hard for me to give over to early darkness.
Thank you for the weekend wishes. I hope you have a good one, too.

Sounds nice and comfortable, too, mouse.
Not sure what a food fair is unless it's a fest of some kind with lots of home made and home grown food to buy.
We have a Ren Faire and an Oktober Fest and an Apple Festival all in the fall. Then in midsummer, there's a Taste of Cincinnati down town for a long weekend. It's put on by all the restaurants so folks can sample their dishes .. especially new things on the menu. It isn't IN the restaurants, though. There are booths in the streets which are roped off for a several block area .. also street musicians and other entertainers. The problem I've found with Taste of Cinci is that it's always so terribly hot while it's going on , the last thing I want to do is stand out in the street and eat!
Bet yours is better. Hope you have fun.
