My dryer busted, CRAP. It dried one load once and that was it. It was a bunch of towels too.

the food fair is a mix of food and crafts Beth...all by small independents..daughter bought some ear rings and I bought a ring...plus we bought some cheeses and spiced and honeyed nuts..but there was a wide variety of food on offer with cooled meats[pulled pork..breers etc outside but the weather was frightful...low cloud which gets every where wetting one through then last night was our groups quiz..which we hold every year to raise some cash...any one can come to it and we always get a good turnout usuallu making 3-4hundred pounds...we always provide cheese and onion pie and meat and potato pie plus a raffle and last night was as good a night as it usually is...good time had by all and I understand the bar takings were quite reasonable too we split into teams of 6 and our team the """universally challenged"""" came 2nd..out of 14 teams...yeahhhhhhhhhhhh

What a wonderful fund raiser ... better than bingo, IMO. I am cooking BBQ'd chicken breasts today as I have out of town company and they requested it. I'd like to make a tomato pie to go with it but don't think I have all the ingredients so shall stick with what's in the fridge and quickly put together a casserole out of California blend veggies, cheese and buttered bread crumbs. That will have to do. Hope your weather improves soon!

I feel your pain, Sugi. Hanging up a dryer load of damp towels is no fun. Good luck with getting it fixed asap.

I got a hold of the landlord first thing this morning. He looked at it already. Beth if I don't say something or fight for something more crap would go untold. SO I speak up cause no one else will.

A lot of people are really nice about helping out once they know about a problem, I think you're on the right track. You have to let them know.

The solution? It's a bit old tech, but a clothes line works great

""" It's a bit old tech, but a clothes line works great""""...works for me..BUT one does have to have the space to put a clothes line up...I actually get a kick out of seeing a line of washing blowing dry..small things amuse small minds as my kinder say foul grey and very wet rain here....although about half an hour ago there was a beautiful rainbow nothing on the agenda today..yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

We already have a line up but it goes through a ceder tree. The mess from the tree would defeat any newly cleaned clothes. To move the line would mean taking the tree down, it pretty well covers the whole back walkway. Birds love it, we don't.
