Thousands of national guardsmen were turfed out of the Capitol building on Thursday and sent to sleep in car parks, before being allowed back in late at night after complaints from lawmakers. Despite the quick reversal, two Republican governors commanded their troops home in protest. President Biden expressed his "dismay" on Friday morning to General Daniel R Hokanson, the chief of the National Guard, about how the troops had been treated, the White House said. About 25,000 Guard members from across the country were deployed to help secure President Biden's inauguration, which went off with only a handful of minor arrests. On Friday Jill Biden, the First Lady, visited some of the troops outside the Capitol to thank them for their work and handed out chocolate chip cookies. US Capitol police had ordered the reservists to vacate the building and set up camp outdoors or in nearby hotels, with thousands ending up stationed outside or in car parks. “Yesterday dozens of senators and congressmen walked down our lines taking photos, shaking our hands and thanking us for our service. Within 24 hours, they had no further use for us and banished us to the corner of a parking garage. We feel incredibly betrayed,” one of the guardsmen told Politico.""

That’s simples really, because they are, they need to be to be Social Workers, so people can trust them. One thing unlike Trumps offsprings she isn’t putting on airs and graces trying to appear like something she is not. Just saying.

Just saying. no photos of her snorting coacaine either... how strange......now when will Hunter Biden be arrested for breaking the law... can be no doubt of guilt... the fool kept photos on laptop.......how can any one trust biden.... when his son is a criminal and yet isnt brought to task.... land of the free but rather selective in that freedom handing out chocolate chip cookies... wow....that should really encourage these men to keep the bidens safe..... 25 thousand soldiers on guard during the inaugeration...... very frightened of the populace...and they need to be.......i read that some of the rioters are comming up with the excuse they got carried away in the moment..... mmmm long moment crossing from one state to another and then protesting.... hardly some some thing of the .. momment... about it |

I never had any dealings with social workers in my life although I remembered when I was a Lad with my mate we tried to pick up a couple of girls in a pub and in the conversation after I told them I was an Airline Pilot and my mate an Astronaut they told us they were Social Workers, a good job we hadn't got them a drink !
Trumps offspring do put on airs and graces quite simply because they are so rich that they can, money opens doors, always will.

One problem is that people in the USA have been told all their lives the big Lie which is, " government by the people for the people", obviously it is Not and that's the end of it ! but people got the idea that it is THEIR Congress and THEIR Senate so why not Make your voices heard in the actual chambers ?
I can understand why they did it and if I were in Washington I might have joined in but I would have done a number 2 in Nancy Pelosis desk drawer and not stolen anything or hurt anybody.

Latest News is that the owner of the shop that took the Laptop in for repair has made copies of the Laptop and that some are in a safe location to be released in the future.
What surprises everybody is the news that the FBI had a copy of the hard drive in 2019 but did nothing about it even though there is "disgusting", stuff on the laptop such as photographs and documents proving fraud.

many people saw through American rethoric and hype years ago... all sorts of things around wwc 2 for some.. for other the disenchantment came as the Levey broke and the world say what went on in the stadium and all around the area and even years later when people still were not back home .. others 9/11 and others the trump election.. whether it was a bad or good thing was irelevent.. it was legal and that was the sticking point and always in the background were the on going antics of the FBI .. the CIA and the politos and the busineses and corporates...... with the best will in the world biden will not be able to wipe out the decades of abuse and bullying..the corruption.. the most blatent self interestsat what ever costs....again it will be interesting to watch.......but if Americans think Trump was the problem they are wrong....he wasnt.. he was simply one of the symptons... the face upfront that no one wanted to aknowledge.....the portrait in the attic........... oh the vatious politos with smarm along untill they see what handouts and first in line benifts are... smiles and handshakes galore..... and all of it meaningless.. all in it for what they can get.. including us of course... the scales from eyes have dropped......never to return

The good thing about President Trump was that he forced NATO members to look at their inadequacies in men and materials and then they had to do something about it.
The German Army used to have 2270 Main battle tanks type Leopard, this was when the USSR existed but now they have 220, they sold most of what they had to places like Malaysia, I remember seeing Leopard 2 Battle Tanks on the dock at Antwerp ready for loading onto ships, lot's of them too !
Now we see the Russians slowly re-building their forces and wonder if they really mean to take back Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia ? NATO does not have the equipment to counter any Russian advance into western europe and whether Joe Bidet would commit USA forces to help push back the Russians is debateable. The EU members look to Brussels to form an army but Brussels has no clue what to do, defeat is already programmed.

Jor Bidet said that the USA government has to stop buying foreign stuff and buy American stuff, he blamed Trump but on TV the commentators pointed out that during the 8 Obama years, neither Bidet or Obama gave a toss about the various government departmets buying foreign stuff.

In the middle of Winter !
Joe Bidet was on TV saying that the USA is going to get rid of ALL fossil fuelled Government Vehicles and replace them with Electeric ones.
I sometimes wonder if the Demcrats know Joe is not the full shilling or that they themselves are so full of blind unwavering hatred towards their fellow Americans that they would allow such a catastrophe to occur ?
Imagine the Infrastructure necessary to charge up Millions of vehicles, the cables to be laid, all the roads and pavements dug up Hundreds of thousand of Miles of roadworks and that's just to lay the cables ! where will the Electricity be coming from ? what to do on a black windless night, no solar, no wind power ? you would have to burn coal or gas but you cannot just turn the electricity tap on, the power drains need regulating so does the unused power, what are you going to do with excess electricity ?
What will the workers be doing while their vehicles are being charged ? they will need to be paid of course but the loss of productivity will be huge. Imagine the Polis in pursuit of Bank Robbers but their batteries go flat, doesn't bear thinking about !
I am certainly no expert but I have a fertile imagination and if I can conjure up all these downsides to electric cars then there must be more things I am not aware of. All in all electric is ,'Pie in the sky', and I would dearly like to see all these proponents of ,'green new deal', put their mortgages and Pensions behind it and then see what happens.

Toby, wouldn’t the same thing apply to the Bank robbers too. Things will not happen overnight but we will eventually be supplied with green energy, solar panels, wind farms and tidal energy. But it will come, just be patient a bit longer. Just saying.

I used to work in Oil and Gas, I am biased I suppose but I loved the job I was doing !

I was a miner for 40 years till after the miners strike in 1984, striking to save mines and keep them open. We lost, all the coal mines are closed now. The Powers Stations that burnt coal burn Bio Fuel now, wood chipping’s imported from North and South America. Forests cut down they plant new trees that are faster growing so they get more wood for the Power Stations. Nuclear might be a green alternative but it can be very dangerous too. Russia is still having problems with a Nuclear Power station years after there was an accident there. Solar, Tidal and Wind turbines seem the best alternative. Just saying. |

Gas is the best fuel and it is renewable although this is not widely known.
Gas is formed by dead bacteria in porous rock, after the gas is taken out the Bacteria can replenish itself.
Electric powered cars sounds good but the battery will always be a problem, solar is good when you are near the equator, wind takes many years before you get your money back and the problem with tidal is what do you do at slack water ?
Bio fuel is good, I saw this when I was working in Denmark, they grow trees then cut them down as firewood, a good system but the Danes have fewer rules and regulations than the UK has.
