I went to library but had forgotten it's Labor Day weekend so it was closed...instead bought book online as I'm getting fussy about germs on used books....lol.
Just hate little stains or other unidendifiable crud on pages.
I just prefer not handling something others have touched so prefer e-books as I can't afford hardcover prices.

It is 2 and a half more weeks until Autumn. Today was definitely summer. I made a galleon container of sun tea and are preparing to watch college football on TV. A very nice day.

My building was built in 1982 and has been in many earthquakes so I don't worry about it at all. I keep hard shoes by my bed and have water and canned items on hand

Hope you had a great day with your family and the fireworks.

Then, had a phone call and needed to leave the line. I have now corrected the error. All is well. Summer is still here, btw. Late at night and the AC continues to tick along. Of course fall does not start until the 19th.

Maybe you'll get an Indian summer and autumn will come later. I've always though autumn is when the leaves fall off the trees. Does it begin in September for you?

No, we have nice green trees and foliage until at least mid October, but by the 3rd week in September the high 80s and 90s F temperatures should be down by 10 or 15 degrees. It is 78 degrees now and the high this past day (Sunday) was 89 degrees F.
I live in Ohio. We usually have beautiful fall colors throughout October and on into November. Any Indian summer is, most times, early November - not hot but warm, colorful and delightful.
It is usually (but not always) warm enough to sit outside and give out treats on Halloween.
Our winter this year is forecast to be especially cold and difficult.
