Did yard sale and thrift shop yesterday.... $2 got me four pictures so I'm happy; they need a little touchup but not a big deal. Got a framed 33 rpm from 1920....I'm very happy about that one as I love old stuff and got it for fifty cents What kind of pictures are they? Are they paintings or photographs? It sounds like a nice buy.

Clear skies and fairly warm this morning. Daylight savings time kicked in at 2 a.m. so we are now only 4 hours behind the U.K.. This will last for a couple of weeks or so if I remember correctly. A slower day than yesterday and I'm glad. My sister has been visiting off and on and just left for her home on the east coast. She'll be back (also, off and on) a few times and then spend a whole week for the 4th of July. That hot sunny holiday is her favorite and every year it appeals to me a little more, too. I used to love the winter holidays best, but not so much now. St. Patrick's Day is coming up this week. We seldom do much to celebrate, even though my 2 older children are almost one-half Irish. Now and then, we make the effort to pub hop a little, just to see the various costumes and touch base with people we don't see often. Doubt that's going to happen this year. Too many other things going on. Have a good Sunday and get ready to greet the work week. XO Beth I try to cook an Irish dinner on St. Patrick's Day. We have our fair share of Irish in my family. Also make an effort to wear the green, just for the fun of it. Since there's no long weekend for this one, and Valentine's Day, there isn't time for much celebrating. XO to you, too Jessie

Sounds pretty cool. It's the actual recird....I imagine it was played on a Victrola

Yesterday turned into a wonderful warm spring day....I sat in the sun and watched daughter do some weeding....itching to get my hands into the soil.... this morning looks like it will be a re run..... Earlier I was reading when I heard a great bang. ..daughter shouted to me that the washing machine had blown up...so I went to see....black smoke every where...I gently touched the plug...it wasn't warm so I unplugged and daughter opened the door...more black and grey smoke came rushing out...the washing it's self was fine..neither smoked nor smelling so daughter is off to buy a replacement...it's a good job it died on the spin otherwise it would have meant dripping washing..euuurrrrggghhhhh

They used to come in kit form. I never had much time for them, but I did once make a hooked rug from a kit. Very nice.
