My younger son starts today at WalMart and to us, yes it's a big deal because he has been homeless and without a job since October. Now he and girlfriend have jobs and housing is next...been a hard haul for them Best of luck to him, Chris. No more trash talk about Walmart. It hires people K-Mart and Target won't.

Another place near here that is almost always hiring is the Amazon warehouse. Also, the call centers hire fairly often.

lolololol 2 pies, 1 apple and 1 banana cream. There are still some of both left. They will do for dessert tonight. The young grandchildren will be here. It is good to see you, Jumbo and mouse. thanks. i assume that means that you have to be thankful for the pie you had last night You are correct! What they didn't finish off, I sent home with them. When we were in Tennessee this p-ast summer, it was peach season. I and my sister put up several quarts of spicy sliced peaches. I got home with 6 of them. Peach cobblers are my next baking activity. I hope you continue doing well, Jumbo. You are always in my prayers.

Good moirning all of youse. Almost lunch time. I took kitty cat to the vet and she is now on prescription drugs. Just pills. He said she'd be fine in 3 or 4 days. Good to see you, mouse and jumbo! i hope she is better at taking pills tahn any of my babies have been. i had to always have the doc do liquid if it were possible. even though the liquid is usally more expensive, in the long run it's not. much more medicine goes down their throat than cruchsed in to the carpet or hidden behind a chair This cat is easy to medicate, but you're right, a lot of pets are not. These were 3 little pills. I put one in a zip lock bag and smash it, then mix it up with her moist food. She eats as always and doesn't throw it up or anything. One a day, so not much to it. Glad to see you, Jumbo. I'll be working in Oncology this summer and understand the process you're in. It takes hope and courage. I'd be proud to have patients like you.

a dismal day so far..though a little blue is showing so perhaps later it will be a re run of yesterdays sunshine friends coming later so that will be good and have put some new books onto my kindle which I shall enjoy in the quiet times....though have been reading till my eyes crossed the last couple of weeks...still having read so many murders ...am well up on forensic clues....and how to commit the perfect murder...however I have no inclination to put it to the test the blackbird pair are nesting behind the gutter above my window...they keep flying in with bits to make the existing nest more comfortable..and chatter to each other yesterday we had a van load of logs delivered...so we are well prepared for the expected cold which is supossedly on its way[it will give grandson something to do..stacking them in the log box

Haven't read her for awhile, but I think someone put up a review of her new book, here, and it sounds like a good one. Maybe this will be the last cold spell for you. It seems to me you always have an earlier spring, while our winter drags on through March.

I would rather live near family members. If those who live near me now were to move, I'd probably relocate to TE to be near others. Stay with what suits you, Chef.

Hi Jessiealan, sometimes being too close can cause problems when young married children can come to rely too much on their parents advice instead of working out their own problems. I have a grandson who runs back to his parents everytime they have a quarrel and his partner hates his parents no doubt for this reason. My daughter should put her foot down and not allow him to stay. It's plain stupidity as far as I am concerned.

yesterday was quite cold. i took m y letter out to the mailbox i a tshirt and although it's only fifty yards to the mailbox, i got a tad cold. today is my tripple dose of chemo. i hope it doesn't affect me more than the single doses did Hi Iamjumbo, It certainly isn't the best situation to be in, I hope the triple dose doesn't have too bad an effect on you body, here's hoping that you eventually recover and are well again. Good to see you back, all the best.!!!
