This has been a wet, rainy day. 25 degrees F colder and it would have been 2 or 3 inches of snow!
Jumbo, if you come in, we are having typical Tennessee winter weather, monsoons instead of snow storms. The groundhog did NOT see his shadow. Looking forwards to an early spring.

Good Morning!
Friday already. Cold but bright sunshine, blue skies and a promise the weather will impropve, temp wise, for the weekend.
Hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to down time for a couple of days.
Super Bowl Sunday is almost upon us. That will be the weekend entertainment, here. I think one of the TV Sports sites will be streaming the game. If so, I'll set up a link in the Sports topic under News and Current Events.

No beth. I am not a musician. You never know until you try. What instrument does your teacher play? Trumpet.

You never know until you try. What instrument does your teacher play? Trumpet. Cool. I know someone who played trumpet in a high school band. I was a cheerleader in high school and he played solo introductions to some of our routines. He did not pursue it as a career but was very good ... always hit the right note.

Good Morning!
Super Bowl Sunday has dawned, bright, sunny and cold so far. Supposed to be mild this afternoon, though. That means peeps here will be out in the back yard, grilling and tossing a football around. Tradition and all that. I vaguely remember the Bengals' first Super Bowl 16 (1982), when the temps were hovering around O degrees F. Another log on the fire, popcorn and hot toddies were way that one was celebrated. I don't have a favorite this time around. Doubt I'll stay glued to the TV.
Enjoy the day.

Good afternoon, Daily Peeps! It has been trying to snow all day but the temperature has been a little bit too high so we've had rain. Now that dark is coming on, we might have snow on the ground in the morning. Hope not.
I need to take our cat to the vet tomorrow. She could have UTI. She spent a lot of time hanging around her litter box and meowing over the weekend. May as well take her in to have it checked out before she gets really sick. Always something.

We have a snow covering today. Lucky for me this is a "work from home" day. \ Watching the New Hampshire primary with interest. As with the Iowa caucuses, one can't necessarily go by the results to predict the eventual winner nationwide, but both those help give us some insight into the candidates and what they stand for (or what they SAY they stand for).

Bitterly cold today, in the teens F. The weather man says it will be so throughout the week.
I baked pies this morning and now, chicken and dumplings in the pot.
Shall be watching the New Hampshire returns this evening.

Almost forgot with election news going on. Today was Mardi Gras. Lent is here. Those of you who have given up boiled beets and unflavored yogurt ... enjoy your choices. Those who have given up soft drinks and Reese's Cups ... my sympathy. www.mardigrasneworleans.com/when-is-mardi-gras.html
