Unfortunately we went to the Lake District where they had the worst rainfall on record and disastrous flooding. Only two confirmed deaths so far but it was tragic seeing the devastation the storm caused for the poor people of Cumbria.

I guess it was bad. Even our cable weather channel had some news about your flooding.
Better luck next time.

GM, Whose. Hope you have the kind of Tuesday you'd like. Thinking on going back to bed now that I've had my tea. Working from home today.

Totally agree, Mouse; it was so sad seeing the devastation of people's homes and livelihoods as the waters washed away bridges, roads and demolished houses.
Tragic!

Nice to see you back, Linda.
There is a small town not far from here that is built on a low plain not far from the river. Every few years, it floods to the extent that most of the residents have damage to their property. Yet, most of them stay on and on, making repairs as needed. It is not possible for them to find an insurance company who will offer flood insurance any more, and, still, they stay. Very sad. Not rational.

She is a short hair, but she does shed. I cannot lay anything dark colored on my bed. She is drawn to it and will jump up and lie on it every time. She never does that with light colors. Very strange.
