It has been a nice day working with the teens. I might consider looking for some kind of part time volunteer work like this after sunner is over. Chilly and rainy today. June is too late for cold weather. Maybe this is the last week. Tomorrow is hump day. May the rest of the week be nice for everyone. i would definitely trade you. it was ninety yesterday, and going to be 92 today. today should be chinook bath day. i got a little plastic pool, and TWO 50 foot hoses so he can play in it. he doesn't realize yet that it is also a bathtub Pretty good trick! Maybe he knows but pretends for you just to get a water-play day. Coney is open here. A few of my family have a season pass and attempted to go yesterday but the air was still brisk enough to send them to the rides and home early at that. Now, this a.m. ..... well ... read the "thick white fog" post.

i would think that any garden party would be the ultimate in boredom. one at buckingham palace would have to be even worse oh totally wrong Jumbo...I go to many garden parties and used at one time to host them my self...they are great fun I guess it depends on who one invites...but boring never as for the Bukingham palace ones...two military bands to listen too...lovely nibbles...good company..every one dressed properly and good to look at and good manners to the fore.. and an English summer day.....that could never translate into boring..never not in a thousand years one of our members is an American from the south ...she absolutely loves our garden parties be they Buck house or just the ones thrown locally that she has been too it was a new concept to her..we have also introduced her to afternoon tea..some thing else she really enjoys too all terribly civilised every one dressed properly and good to look at and good manners to the fore. that there is where you'd lose me

I would think a garden party with royalty would be a great time; a good chance to gussy up and show some manners

A couple of convicted killers have used power tools to cut their way out of a New York "high security" prison. It happened last night ... not discovered until this morning, so they are going into the second day, out and about with no clues that we know of to their whereabouts. They are considered very dangerous and probbably armed. Do not befriend either of these men and report any sightings to authorities. www.cnn.com/

I don't think they would be out on the road with their thumbs stuck out. It sounds like they had help from the outside.

your loss...every now and then its rather good to make the effort and of course food is a big part of the enjoyment and of course these events are not at all stuffy..our last one of the womens group..was a hoot food was all laid out and there were we were and the heavens opened...trying to get all the food and drinks into the house..things slipping off plates..tomatos bouncing allover the place..cakes water logged and servers..hair do,s ruined... as for us getting dry..try 30 plus women trying to dry hair and tops all at the same time..especially as the only two available hair dryers were drying out cakes and sandwiches .. tea towels mopping up water off the cold meats and salads a sense of humour is an estential in our climate and we have garden do,s more in hope than expectation it's the stuffy that i don't do. i'm not so keen on manners either. if i have to burp, i'm not going to make my stomach hurt by holding it in. i can say "excuse me" in four languages, so, if i choose to say it, i say it in german usually. that always pisses hazel off. that little episode is funnier than hell now, but, i'll bet it wasn't so funny while it was happening. but it was funny while it was happening..we were in fits..unfortunately or perhaps fortunately we Brits[English] can laugh at most things..including our selves and frequently do but burping and farting are deffo not on public agenda..not done at all..ever in company although there was one occasion...when[ant this is true]a rather stout lady very up herself was giving a very worthy but totally boring speech she droned on and on ...she dropped her paper and bent down to retrieve it as she did so...she gave a loud and prolonged trump returned to a standing position puce and embarrassed although we were all nearly choking with amusement....not a giggle or a smile or even a sympathetic look..we had our revenge for the imposed boredom by total silence and rigid backs..not a flicker of amusement[of course we laughed like mad about it afterwards we could have clapped or laughed to break the moment of her embarresment .....I guess it was rather cruel but self important worthies don't go down very well....

Yeah so if you ever need info about anyone at Harvard, just ask. I have over 4,000 emails, pictures, addresses, SNS. People just submitted it. I don't know why. They "trust me." Dumb f#cks. -- Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Facebook

Dear Annie, here we are mixed up in the may and June Dailyi threads again. Not only that but the days of the week. Do not, I repeat NOT, celebrate Father's Day tomorrow. Hold off until Sunday. Best for your weekend. (blush) Am I embarrassed!!! Father's Day is the 21st! Of all the days to mess up on. They tell us it will rain all iday today and then we might think toward the possibility of better weather.
