It's pouring here if that's any indication of what you can expect. Thunder, too. I just got home in time to beat the first raindrops onto the porch.

beautiful until 4-30 yesterday and then it rained...today its overcast and dull with rain likely,,eughghgh had a lovely moochy day doing nothing in particular...today we have visitors later.. [Wales again...its a spot where they get hoardes of tourists the Cheshires new wealthy.. including footballers and wives.. the boaters and holiday cabins and luxury mobile homes etc..its a very expensive small area...some good clothes shops though and at the height of the season its almost impossible to drive due to the numbers of fancy range rovers and an absolute invasion of beautifully dyed blonde heads etc ] if your not as well heeled and a scouser then its further along the coast ]..locals and those in the know use all the back lanes to travel the furthest bay you can see is called the Warren..a holiday chalet and rent of a site on there will cost you as much and more than a terraced house or you can rent for about a £1,000 a week[some more than that]mostly in use during the school holidays

My brother's birthday is tomorrow and we are off to Knoxville to spend the night and attend his family party. It's a beautiful sunny day, so we are definitely up for the trip.
I hope you all enjoy your Saturday and Sunday.

and good morning to you too Marti...and every one else grey cloudy some wind and not at all inviting son 1s girl friends mother had a fall and broke her hip...the anesthetic has played havoc with her senses and she is drifting between reverting to childhood and fighting all commers...such a shame for a nice old lady to go down that route...we are keeping all things crossed she may return to her sunny old self..but she is 88 and this could well be the beginning of fast deterioration...but she is a game old bird..proper cockney of the old school type with a wry sense of humour..

Good thing! We seem to be in a pattern of gorgeous sunny days turning to a thunderstorm or two just before dark. How does the song kgo? "The rain must never fall 'til after sundown ... in Camelot .. " ? Well, we're just missing that by about a half hour. High School graduation ceremonies are going on here so .. odds are ... it's nearly summer time.

So sorry to hear that, mouse. I understand broken hips and pneumonia are the biggest causes of decline among the elderly. Fingers crossed she's able to get into gentle physical therapy and recover ... at least to some extent. Hope your clouds moved along and allowed you some nice hours in the afternoon.
