Our volunteer, Transcriber, who usually brings in JD's links and gets them set up for us, had busy-work of her own this evening, so I picked up on them when she ran out of time. Bit of a hassle but we finally got it done. Please pardon us for any glaring errors on your way to link content. We'll try to be back to standards next time around. Nice spring night. A little chilly but totally seasonal. Just what spring jackets and sweaters are made for. Earlier, my daughter and SIL drove one township over to the nearest ice cream parlor and had milk shakes out on their back deck. It was quiet - no high school kids cruising yet. That usually starts in late June as graduation approaches. Nice .. April, 2015 ... still calm and easy in this part of the world. Wish it could last a long long time.

She has my sympathy. Is there anything that can help the pain until it runs its course? Tell her to be sure they give her a shot of steroids or it will come back. Hope you have a lovely trip and the weather cooperates to make every bit of it a pleasure. Bon Voyage

""" Is there anything that can help the pain until it runs its course? Tell her to be sure they give her a shot of steroids or it will come back."" until she sees the doc ive given her some of my pain killers which are very strong and they are working for her..will see she has another dose before she settles for the night.....plus I have a capsicum, based cream which will ease the nerve endings...[as long as the skin isn't broken]the rash is huge covering her thigh all the way round....very nasty... I really am quite reluctant to go...but have been persuaded that I really cannot do anything that cannot be done in my absence ta for bon voyage...I must pack at some stage and make sure camera is charged
Wednesday morning as usual ready far too early and having to pass time...the doc has been phoned for daughter..am still not 100% happy about leaving her...but she is insistent....

I'll tell you about the first time I had shingles and maybe it will give her a grin when she feels better.
I'd never even heard of the ailment before. My son and older daughter were still living at home with me in an apartment near my parents' house. My parents were ill and I didn't want to worry them about anything so when this awful pain started wrapping around from my left rib cage to my back and up to my shoulder one night, I decided to go to the ER. At first there was no rash, just a light red streak. My teen son had gotten his auto licenses the year before and I didn't think I could drive with the pain so told him he'd need to take me.
Trouble! He had just gotten a new nintendo game and was deeply involved in leavning the plot ... had a whole night planned with it. He didn't see the red streak and did NOT want to move. It took me over 2 hours to convince him it was come with me or lose his privileges - starting with the d***ed game, one by one. When he decided it was easier to go than to fiuss, he got me there in record time. The minute the nurse saw my back, I got to see a doctor ... have him tell me to take the pills he prescribed and (basically) suffer for awhile. Son still tells me what a shmuck I was, and I tell him what an unsensitive little kid he was, at 17. I can still hear himn saying "just a minute, just a minute ... I've just got one life, I can't last much longer".
Best wishes the doctor can give her the help she needs.
Hope you have a good safe trip, mouse.

Lovely day here but a little ov erly windy. Causes allergy problems.
Percy Sledge (When a Man Loves a Woman) died. He was 74 with liver cancer. Human kind really does need to put a few less important things on the back burner and find a good dependable cure for cancer. Seems that every other person we lose goes that route.

it's too bad there isn't much likelihood the two of you will get together and create a few dozen (next year, thinking .. next year ) ... bet they would be the best ever. All the shades and, then, TIE DYED!! 'twould be fun. i have made tri colored eggs. it's a pain in the ass, but it can be done. i just don't have the patience to do those squiggly lines and stuff. that's too much like work Hope you're having a good week, Jim. We really do need to start looking at the horses. Ky Derby will be here before we know it and I have no clue what's going on at this point. I'll try to put up something in Sports tonight. help me please if you have any good information. I need to pinch pennies for a couple of weeks. If I opened my Derby purse right now, I fear all I'd find is moths fluttering out.

Thanks a bunch. I'm so out of touch I feel like I've fallen off the edge of the world over the past month or 2. I'll read your story .. then go see what I can find to add. I'm still getting over the disappointment of losing the final four, plus coping with the sheer hideous shock of having Duke win! But, it's time to move on.
