Another overcast, rainy day. Should start to clear up tomorrow, so they tell us. Fret and I both have some real time responsibilities that will probably mean we won't be here this evening at the usual time. I'll be back later. Just a heads up. Have a good'un.

What do you do though when the cat loves water ? Doesn't seem to matter. They still do not like a squirt in the face. Maxx hates it more than most cats. I got lucky.

hope your feeling better Beth I was felled by an infection after I was on here tues day...so spent yesterday being a very miserable mouse in bed...feeling better this morning though still a little groggy and yesterday was our womens group carol service[where our group joins with other groups]...where our newly formed choir were doing their thing for the first time in public I was really really dispointed..especially as two of my close friends are in the choir and had been practising descants and harmony and trilling at every opportunity
the sky is the colour of unpolished pewter and bodes no goof for man nor beast....and as if on cue its hailing

I'm glad you're feeling better, mouse. I hope Beth is, too.
My niece is here for a few days with her 10 year old son. I am making pancakes with maple syrup and sausages for breakfast.

I could've sworn someone had got a thread going featuring the Blair's xmas card for this year but I can't find it. Anyway, here'll do for now as I don't propose to make a song and dance out of it (just spread the comedy value)... Here's what they're sending:- Note how the gurning "wide-mouthed frog" grin has transplanted from Cherie to His Toniness. I can imagine she's just said, "Ooh, Tony - you're so taut." And just as the shutter goes he's finishing up his reply of, "Yeah. I'm taut, like a tiger. Grrrrrrr!" On the other hand I think this would have been a more appropriate card for them to send out:- This is rumoured to be the official card of Nigel Farage:- Awesome...

He looks like someone has applied an electric shock or a nearly lethal shot of botox. The both have those insincere smiles that never reach the eyes.

I wonder whether many still make pancakes at home. We have so many breakfast restaurants and regular restaurants that serve delicious breakfasts it is tempting to go be waited on when we want a specialty like that. The most delicious ones here are I-HoP and Cracker Barrel. Mine are quite good though and I use an excellent golden maple syrup and real butter. My niece's son ate 4 with 2 sausages and a big glass of cold milk. I'll be leaving to go to bed soon. Thought I would log on and do a quote for today. Good Night.

Oh good. Since you're going to be catty, too, I'll add the wonderment at him becoming a blonde and agree with you about the gathers. Hideous, really.

Bob Evans is more like breakfast fast food. Members of my family will eat breakfast or brunch in place of other meals , happily.
