Chill in the air but the sun is shining brightly. We're to have this nice weather for 2 more days, then an arctic blast will hit the U.S.and bring in winter weather 'way too early. The Greater Ohio River Valley is almost on the line that will divide the states that get the chill from the ones to the south that keep warm, mellow, autumn days. They believe we're slightly to the north so we've been told to button up and expect temps in the teens and lower F. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Hope you have a wonderful family day, mouse.

Sunday evening again already. Fret is in the studio and I'm on call for "Sunday supper" but not for awhile sooooo I'm here. I have a good new recipe for baked corn pudding I'll put up in Foodies. We have a big freeze warning of 9 degree F temps. I think that's north of us but never sure until it hits. (Hang in there Sugi!) If last winter was an indication of the new "normal" here, I may have to start looking at opportunities to the south. Hope all's well with all of you this second Sunday in October, 2014.

One thing I believe we have in common is a love for visiting with family and friends. It does not matter to me whether they come to my house or I go to theirs, we always have a nice get together.
I do not know who put up the Large Text Tapestry theme but if you will let me know I'll award you a karma point. It is a delight and now, along with about a dozen others, my very favorite.

Well it wasn't me but I went and had a look and it's very pretty. Thanks to whoever put it up (Sysop3 ?, Annie ?) I had a good get together this evening. We watched an awe inspiring basketball game and then played Rook for a little while. Good entertainment for an indoors evening. Get ready for the work week, roll out on the right side of the bed and have a good'un

It's supposed to rain today but, so far, we've had only bri9ght sunshine and moderate temps (50s and 60s).
I walked on campus. - a half mile, then half mile back to the car. Since I damaged my right knee a couple of years ago, I don't like getting too far from my vehicle if I'm walking alone. it's a lovely day to be out and about. If the rain holds, I may go visit with a friend this afternoon. This is kind of like Autumn's Last Stand. Areas north of us are blanketed in snow. Glad that hasn't happened here. Hope all's well for everyone here.

up early...and still dark..but its not windy and its not wet..so that's two things to be happy for am having a Pollyanna moment for nearly two weeks one of my medications has been unavailable..manufacturing problem....so I decided to tackle the drug company giving details of unavailability and the effects of it on my self and others etc ...have been happily surprised by their reaction..got a very pleasant letter back and an assurance that this week, supplys would be rushed to my chemist..sure enough yesterday by special deliviery my medication was delivered by the chemist to my door..in the meantime I emailed their letter to my chemist for them to sort out the whys and where fores between them....[there is no suitable alternative to this particular medication] so by around noon today my system should have returned to its normal state..so that's an other thing to be happy for
