I always dread this time change weekend because I don't like the early nights. OTOH, I'm glad to finish with the past week when the British time change has already been into effect. It totally confuses my schedule here. Now, at least, things will be steady again without my running around trying to catch up the extra hour.
Be back later. Fret is in rehearsal hall this evening, working on some new arrangements for an up-coming gig. I plan to be here for a little while. We have brilliant sunshine and a warmer day but with the early dark, home is the best place to be.
Hope you've all had a good weekend. Except for a football loss to Missouri (20 - 10), all is well in the greater Ohio River Valley.

Cute marmalade. Now that the warmer comforters are on the beds, Maxx (my cat) is going from one bedroom to another, trying them out and marking them with a cat hair here and there. He's a short hair so sheds very little. He has to really snuggle down to make his mark. It's okay ... he's my foot warmer a couple of nights a week and I appreciate him. Speaking of which, it's a cool night and the longer I type the sleepier I get. Good morning U.K. Good night U.S. Where ever you are ... having a Monday night or getting ready for Tuesday morning ... .. Have a good'un

certainly gone colder..very overcast this morning and rained over night over traveling liberary is going to start coming just once a month and doing only one stop in the centre of the village...so at this end we shall be without the service..botheration and damn our services in England have been built up over decades and now..one by one they are going being taken away by councils and government who will not listen and who see savings around every corner..totally forgetting it is we the tax and council tax payer who pay for these services and who are getting less and less in return they off set the arguments for none continuation of these services by trying to justify the other things they provide..mostly new things which have no benefit and are not needed by long term families etc they prat on about their budget for diversity leaders..equality departments..housing needs which have increased..[but not by local need]and weird managers for departments which do not benefit the long standing people of the county..and then there are the schools..some of which shock horror are not diverse...and some villages don't have enough social or low cost housing... its all manipulation and hiding behind weasle words...and dancing to an agenda....bah humbug and piffle

That's too bad, mouse. Maybe you can find a way to get to the new location once a month. Election day dawned cool and misty in the Greater Ohio River Valley, but the sun has come out and burned off the mist so that it's now mild and bright. Lots of people out and about. I voted and then had my walk. Everyone I saw was smiling and cheerful for the most part ... a few moms fussing at little kids who didn't understand the need for patience while their parent voted. Of course, strapped down in a stroller, they had little choice, although a couple of them were tossing around the dirty looks and tears. Been there, remember it well. Cleaning lady is here today and I'm working from home. Nice combination. We are hosing off patio furniture this morning, getting it ready to store under a tarp at the back of the garage until spring. Good to get it done but kind of bittersweet, too ... saying goodbye to summer 2014. I always seem to expect too much from summer and then hate to let it go with important things unfulfilled. No point in mourning it, though ... it'll come round again.

could possibly go on my scooter but winters coming on..and the cross road is lethal in fact when I had my two wheeler supped up scooter..i got knocked down .there were road works..they had taken layers off the surface and it was rather like driving on tram lines..so am tootling along my right of way and a car comes out on my left and simply does not stop and because of the road ridges I couldn't turn to my right to get out of the way..knocks me flying..i end up under the car with the scooter on top of me trapping my legs and the car wheels about half an inch from my head...the driver had been to a wedding and had had a little too much to drink... three hours later an ambulance brought me back home fairly undamaged except for having to wear one of those neck collar things but very bruised scraped and sore...my bike was a right off...his insurance paid for a new bike. the bit of road he came from is treacherous as you come to the cross roads blind on one side and its also a steep hill start...but it could have been worse... today I shall be socialising at our craft group...no walking except from car to house..so am looking forward to going out

Do not try anything like that, mouse. Main highways are far too busy for scooters, even just crossing. I am sure you already know that.
It is a mild sunny day. The fall leaves are at their peak. We have been raking and using the leaf blower today for tomorrow's curb pick up. Tomorrow is pie baking day.

Good for you, mouse, that you had such a nice day. Not being a great crafts person, I empathize. I can, and occasionally do make lanyards for glasses and such, and have dabbled in mosaics, but that's all. I'm having my lunch break and need to go back to work now. Only have to work half the afternoon and am off tomorrow so no complaints. Later.
