I hope everything turned out well for you, mouse. I had my monthly doctor appointment last week. All is well. I feel it is important to always go and a clean test result is very very good to get.
May yours be the same.
Showers this afternoon.

It's been a weird last few days; on Friday morning at 8 a.m. I was in the bath when the phone rang. I leapt up to answer it, slipped on the floor, hit my head on the wall, bruised my elbow and my ankle! It was only BT telling me the engineer would be round on Monday to fix our internet connection!
On Sunday I was sitting in the garden where we have a lot of honeybees. One crept into my knickers and when I sat down indoors he stung me twice and I stripped off my trousers and knickers in the kitchen and Mike shooed the bee into the garden!
Tell you about Monday and Tuesday tomorrow!

On Monday my sister came round; found myself forced to rush off and charge about all over the place. In between that we were besieged by phone calls!
Then yesterday had to go and organise some printing for a relative who had to get his art portfolio in by Friday and hadn't done it!
On Sunday it's a family birthday so it's all go!

Such is life, Lin. We have a major storm rolling in. I need to retreat and turn off the PC. Later.

It's been a rainy day that promises to move into a rainy night. 90 per cent percipitation, 82 degrees F and we're under a tornado watch until 9:00 this evening.
I'm here by myself until late tonight so if the sirens start, may go hang out in the basement. lol
Glad not to be on the highway.

Typical BBC - vague on details and likely to exacerbate the problem with this bit, as people open links in e-mails purporting to come from their ISPs but which are actually phishers:- "Those in the UK will be receiving correspondence from their internet service provider (ISP) soon, warning them that they are at risk. If you get one of these notices, you must act immediately." The key is, don't open attachments from sources you don't know (i.e. your mates - and then be aware that the address might be spoofed. Anything that isn't a .jpg leave well alone and call your mate and ask. Anything from your bank or the taxman or whatever is invariably bollix as they don't mail you asking for details and don't generally send attachments; they write via snail-mail on a letterhead and with a signature (unless it's HMR&C, of course, when signatures and even names are often not included. Very helpful). If in doubt, pick up the 'phone, use the number on your paperwork and ask. If you've binned any dodgy e-mails without opening the attachments you shouldn't have anything to worry about. If not, go here and here and reinforce your usual firewall/AV programme. Er, y'all have a firewall/AV installed, right...? There are free ones available. The one built into Windows is, predictably, crap.
