Saturday cild but not too cold and wet...ughghghghgh two blue tits and a house sparrow came to feed yesterday...which I consider a pretty poor do...perhaps as it gets colder friend across the way said her hawk has visited twice this week...vicious looking brute he is today is a chill day... have put a piece of brisket into the slooooooo cooker for eating later and ....am going to catch up on reading Hope you enjoy your day, mouse. We had a bit of power outage last night and after a while it got chilly so everybody stayed up and kept watch on the repairs progress. Poor guys out in the cold and wet. Even though they earn good overtime benefits, it's a job I wouldn't want. Now, the heat's on and all's well so I may try to sleep a little more.

The weather is so mild at the moment. My geraniums are still blooming.
Went Christmas shopping today, got a few more bits. I was surprised that the town centre wasn't very busy.

I am on my third day of no cable television and actually surviving!!!! I got a smartphone with no contract service, dumped the landline, cable and contract cell phone so I'm doing more chores so my room and the rest of the apartment looks great!! Has anyone tried the Roku? We have not, chef. Is that what you are using? If so, how do you like it and what does it do? We have a package deal with the cable company for TV, computer and phone. I am usually out and about during the day but that comes in handy at night.

It is very cold this morning. Snow on the ground and weak sun but some clouds, too.
Mouse, did you think the birds might have gone farther south this year if your winter is going to be colder than usual?
The stores here are busy, Maggie. Not crowded but shoppers who seem like they are in very good humors. Another one of our lights, this time one of the outdoor strings, has gone out so my mission today is to find a good replacement pack. Then my husband can go though the string looking for the bad bulb. We'll bring it into the house first of course.

it's 32°F in Sacramento area right now.......to damn cold so I'm staying in today. right now, at 9am, it is 23, with the wind chill at 13. this afternoon, we are going to warm all the way up to 31. i probably won't be going anywhere today. i had to go out to the car and get hazel's soda a couple of hours ago. luckily, in this instance, one of the back windows has been stuck halfway up since i got the car. i could barely reach in and grab the bag with the soda though. the car doors are frozen closed, and it is not going to get above freezing to thaw them out

it also looks like you were the only one that knows how to drive, especially in snow. the rest of the idiots were on the car in front of them's ass

Hey Jumbo
It's totally clear right now. Cold as whiz but not a speck of ice or snow on the roads.
