Have a good summer, Joy. I do wish our weather was more moderate. We are forecast freezing rain tomorrow.
Chef, you have high expectations for the royals. They are human you know.

Jessie, you are right and I had to laugh but the Royals were more fun when they didn't seem like us....they were more mysterious but the curtain has been pulled back and I'm disapointed to find out that all was not what it seemed. Maybe the younger like Will and Kate are on the right track in trying to be as normal as they can rather than being so removed that they lose the understanding of the people they are leading.

I was looking at the pictures taken of Kate in the park with Prince George and I wonder if the monarchy is going to fade away as there is no longer a mystery and they seem to want to be perceived as "normal" so why should they get excessive perks because of being born in that family. If you want to be like us, then live like us the whole point is that Kate is normal and did live like the rest of us and probably hankers after it...the midletons money is very recently made......William has been brought up noblese oblige....but we no longer require that attitude...the tribe has grown up and has also been diluted by political interference... once the battles are won and the mystique of royalty is gone...then we don't kneed them any more...however imo the queen has served us proud..and I would rather have her as head of state than any polito....for a kick off she knows how to be have ....but once she is gone..it could well be up for grabs its wet and cold...ate tomuch last night and over slept this morning..though it was a good night all round

Mouse,I agree with your viewpoint on the Queen......she really has given her life to serving as she pledged when she was a young woman.
Woke up to 21°F {-6°C} BRRRRRRRRRRRR......the car windows are frosted but thankfully no snow......going to be chilly the next few days but I don' mind except I wish my winter coat I ordered would get here

Yeah I agree about the Queen too. I still see pictures of her in my mind during WW2.
