Don't forget Tomato Pie. I think we have the recipe in the foodie thread. It's fantastic with a glass of iced sweet tea.

81° and no breeze so to hot to sit outside this evening my balcony is finally perfect!!! I can only fit about four smaller plants in but when I sit out there it is like a small garden and then the tree branches are overhead so I'm as happy as a bug in the rug Going to rain Tuesday and Wednesday and cool down to the high 70's......need the rain

Went to Boston yesterday like I do occasionally. When I got back to Worcester (smaller city, outside of Boston, where I live), there were protesters and media and people throwing things and yelling. Turns out, Tamerlan the bomber's family found a funeral home that would take his body two blocks from my house. People are very angry here. We think his body should just be thrown in a trash dumpster. He doesn't deserve the dignity of a burial. Certainly not in the community he terrorized.
The news stations here continue to dole out the details of this story daily. One detail I misunderstood apparently was what was meant by Dzhokhar having run his brother over to escape. I thought he ran over his brother's dead body. But no, he ran over his head, and that is part of what killed him. Yeesh. What a family!

Yuck! The family and the incident are sooooo far from what people in this country are willing to tolerate. Human nature says "hit back", and it sounds like that's what they're trying to find a way to do and still be within the law. The bombers are the villians and the people of Boston are (in a manner of speaking) their victims. Bound to be frustrating.

Go wager some karma in the Derby Betting Booth if you've a mind to. The window closes at 6:15 edt this evening. The odds just changed earlier this morning and the new ones are up on the Place Your Bets thread. Orb is still the favorite.

Hunny, in your posting #36, you described how one brother ran over the other, I had the same understanding that had. I just though that he was trying to escape and ran over his brother (maybe not even seeing him).
I don't understand the family's problem with burial. Islam has their own procedures of preparing the body and they have their own grave yards. Have they rejected him too?
Whatever happens he will eventually be buried. No matter how much his burial site is hidden, some will discover where it is located. When that happens his body and/or burial site will likely be desecrated, even if it is no more than pouring pig fat over the burial site.
For me I think that it would be best to do something like sending his remains back to his homeland.

Or doing an OBL and quietly dropping the weighted corpse out the side door of a Blackhawk.

Good Morning, Sugi, Who, mouse . I'm on my way out. Somebody left the keys for me, and I've been sleep-driving for an hour. Extremely dangerous under certain circumstances! Time to sleep. Have a good'un.

a fine drizzle and all over grey..eeeughghghghhgh..so much for a fine and warm bank holiday weekend have a house full but right now they are still all in bed...so all is quite peaceful..even em the dog has gone back to sleep as for the dead bomber.... cannot see why theres a problem about the body or are his fellow muslims rejecting him which they are not allowed to do as a muslim must forgive an other muslim 70plus times [surely its not a non muslim funeral place?]
