Our first day of June is with blue skies, sun and birds singing all over the place. The kids in our neighborhood found a baby bird fallen out of its nest. My wife knows a woman who takes in abandoned animals and puts them up for adoption. In the spring, she specializes with these young birds who fall for one reason or another. My wife gently picked it up on a piece of cloth and took it to her. She called this morning and said it had revived, drank water and eaten a little bit. She has it in a cage to keep it safe til it's ready to fly. Wish we'd had her around when I was a kid. My friends and I tried to rescue baby birds, but they never lived past a couple of days.

Dex I stopped using the chainsaw when I was around 74-5..but use to find it very satisfying to watch a neat pile of freshly cut logs grow all ready for a cold but cosy winter..
baby birds,, so very hard to rear,, right now the only baby birds to be seen are the young pheasants as they walk in line behind their hen mother in my friends garden.. they come every morning with male father well in front and wait until she feeds them,,, she always has a variety of live stock awaiting food... bit like Noahs ark some times
given yesterday was supposed to be the hottest day of the year.. we in the north were sadly disappointed as it wasn't the hottest day at all... it was quite gloomy today the sun is trying its best but cloud is getting the way

Beautiful warm day. The sun sparkles of everything it touches and gives a glitter effect to the leaves and flowers.

Very nice day. High School graduation at one of the nearby schools was tonight. We chose to avoid the crowd and stayed home, but we did deliver 3 grad gifts this afternoon.
Great time of year. Reminds me of my teaching days.

yesterday the day turned gloomy with short bursts of sunshine every now and then and today its raining.. not hard but still wet enough to deter going in the garden... I seem to be toing and froing an awful lot at the moment...still I guess its better than grinding to a halt
