it really IS early spring here in spite of the chilly jacket-weather. Blue skies, sun, a little green edge to the plants just starting to push up out of the ground.
We've had a couple of near misses; a friend of ours had a large pine tree uprooted - literally picked up and pulled from the ground. It missed their house by only about 12 feet. They have the gardening people out this morning with buzz-saws, disposing of it.
So it's mid-March.
Hope you all enjoy your weekends.

Good morning!
We have sun and snow flurries at the same time this morning. It's supposed to warm up to the 50s F during the day, though.
I didn't go out celebrating last night, but don't have the headache this a.m..

I didn't go out celebrating last night, but don't have the headache this a.m.. We celebrated but not too much. Woke up with a headache, drank a banana milk shake and now feel fine. Off to the St. Patrick's day sales with wife leading the way.

We had a walk on Scarborough beach, was windy, cold but very sunny. Businesses are getting ready for the Tourists who will be arriving when the season starts. Visibility was very good, I could see Block Island and I could see they had installed a load of wind turbines in the sea to the east of Block Island. I had a friend who used to go out in a boat to Inspect the coatings on the offshore structures, he even got full pay every time they could not go out when the swell was over 3 foot !

Scarborough... odd that place name should come up..one of my closest friends is off to Scarborough for a few days of bracing weather before she starts her chemo...theres no point her being at home waiting for time to pass until she has her first dose...if the weather in Yorkshire is as good as we are getting to day.. then the change will be very good for her beautiful blue skies and its warm enough to sit in the sun without a coat or jacket

Thank you Jessie, that was a very nice link. I enjoyed it.
Just a side note:
Trump seems to be losing his mind today. Every hour or less, he seems to be going off on a tangent to undermine or otherwise insult as many people as he can pile on. Either he's trying to distract attention from something coming down the pike or he's avoided taking his meds and is in some kind of mental stress. I'll come back and see what's happening in a couple of hours.
