Halloween has finally come and gone for another year.
No matter whether we're ready for this or not, the stores are moving into the winter holidays.
next thing we see out shopping (or even just picking up prescriptions at Walgreen's) will be a snowman or a santa's elf peeking out from a shelf that held plastic pumpkins a week ago and box fans a few weeks before that.
Time flies ... may as well take a deep breath and hold on tight.

The rain is starting up again.
Off to brew a cup of tea and count my blessings. Life is very unpredictable and now and then we've just got to stop and take stock, think a few thoughts and carry on.

we didn't have any halloweners...and grandson who went out said he saw no signs any type of hallowen celebrations..and it wasn't a bad night..quite unseasonably warm and dry awake far too early this morning so have been reading the hours away...too early to see what type of day it is but its not raining...so grandson will be let loose on my poor unsuspecting plants again...bless him..he is only trying to help...according to him he is learning a lot...

If anyone is so brain dead they can't come up with a better gift, all they have to do is walk into any local Walgreen's. The first 2 aisles are over flowing with "as seen on TV" items. Grab 2 or 3 ... one more aisle over for the Xmas cards, gift bags and candy canes and you're off to a good start. There are folks who do that 2 days before Christmas, but I think some of the preparation is important for me to enjoy the holiday.

Did trick or treating with the kids last night. Terrible weather but besides that it was fun. Way too much candy. As I understand it we get to have candy for dessert til it's gone. Have a good Sunday.

Relax and LET yourself enjoy it.

It is a day of bright sun and a chilly wind. I am on my way to the grocery store to stock up for the week.
Have a nice weekend, all.
