There are good and bad people in every ethnic group.
Most paedophiles in Britain are white Anglo-Saxons.
The question is do you damn a whole group of people because of the bad behaviour of a tiny minority.
If you do then you're not interested in justice but you're following an agenda of prejudice.

None of the defendants speak English, despite having been here for some time. Or, at least, they claimed not to be able to speak English, costing the public purse a fortune in translation services for the duration. The judge commented in his summing up about their smirking behaviour and how they seemed to find their actions "funny" and "amusing," too. Since they come from the former Soviet sphere of influence perhaps they'd like the ol' Iron Curtain sentence for their crimes...?  |

I don't understand why crime by foreigners is any less despicable than crime by native-born people.
If you're murdered or raped or sexually abused or robbed you don't much care who does it.
I genuinely wonder why it seems to make such a difference to some people.
It's irrational and to choose to deliberately focus on the nationality or ethnicity of one group is pretty silly.
Would it have made you happier if they'd been (like MOST paedophiles in Britain) white Anglo-Saxons?

the whole point is this should have never happened but has been ALLOWED to happen ...and it is the deliberate importation of criminals and low life which has enabled these apologies for humans to wreek havoc on the lives of others..
and that is why people get so very annoyed...regardless of the wishes of the population our country has allowed the scum of the earth to decend upon it....a situation which is preventable a situation which should never have happened...
and after the years of complicity and denial by the police/social services and even posters on various internet sites etc etc in the many cases like this which have come to light... there is understandably considerable anger
yes we have our own perverts and scum[who are dealt with far far too softly....so the importation of more of the kind isn't going down well at all

Lin asked the question about crime committed by foreigners vs crime by native born people - what's the difference? I think people get more angry about crime committed by immigrants because we have enough crime here already without importing it. Maybe this is crime that could easily have been avoided not letting them be here in the first place - if they have no right to be here. Anger about the ECHR is also understandable because when heinous crimes are committed by foreign criminals, they can't even be deported.
You get the impression that because our justice system is so weak, that, and our welfare benefits, are a big attraction to wrong doers and scroungers from everywhere.
No wonder people get cross!
I wish we had tougher justice here....... for everyone who commits a crime.

Were we to take the same line as, say, Saudi Arabia, where her ladyship has claimed to have lived in the past, only those who have work arranged are allowed in, after checks are carried out, and any trouble results in a very swift deportation if one is lucky; a stay in a local slammer if unlucky... I suspect that she will only be happy when everyone is coffee-coloured & prostrates themselves 5 times a day, tbh. The irony, of course, is that sucking up to the RoP doesn't guarantee your safety; no siree... Again, I have no problem with anyone of any hue, race or religion, as long as they do to me as they would expect to be treated themselves, and they obey the rules and laws of the land. My land, whilst in the UK - NOT theirs. Simple as that. |
