If nothing unforeseen happens, we'll be pushing the button to change this site over to Proboards version 5 tomorrow morning (EST). Just approach it as if it's the same board, but watch for a few things that are unfamiliar.
Your profile will need to be re-set but you don't have to rush to do it immediately. Mostly, make sure your posts go up as usual and enjoy the new features.
Post questions and comments here or PM to myself or Fret.
Fingers crossed. Good luck to us all.

Yikes! Can't seem to get to the right font face! Me, too, Mark, but it appears to be up and running. We still have to transfer some skins, plug-ins, etc.. If we appear to be missing a few things, don't dispair. This will be a work in progress at least for today, but it shouldn't interrupt the discussions or other activity. I IS now possible to click on a category line and collapse that category ... then when you want, click on it again to expand and open up topic, threads and all the goodies, inside. Pardon our dust.

I'm here but being the type of person that doesn't relish change I'm going to need a few days to get the hang of things....I'm for sure a person who tends to enjoy their rut so excuse my whining until I get my life adjusted to this new version.

I've dipped my toes into the water and I like the new format.......just have to figure out how to change font and I will be a happy camper again.

Chris, when you start a new post, there's a pull down menu that gives you choices of font size and font face.
This PB version IS a little jarring for any who didn't go to the Beta board for practice over the past few weeks. It will take some time to feel comfortable with, but it IS ProBoards now. All Proboards sites will be like this in April. We have some more tinkering to do and that may make it more attractive at least, but wysiwyg.
I believe we ARE going to be able to add a plug-in and rescue the karma (pings and dings), and I'm happy about that. It will be up before the week is out. wi I HOPEwe can all learn to love this version. v 4 - as far as I know - will no longer be available.
Our only choice is to move away from ProBoards and build our own independent site with a similar set up to PB 4. Let's work to acclimatize ourselves to this one and see how we're doing by the first of March.

OK, I liked to log in with the 'recent posts', and had the old board set to show the last 100 posts. Is there any way of increasing the number of posts displayed per page now?

I just sent PB Support a request to see whether we can restore 100 Most Recent Posts. I'll check back in a while and see what they say.

Thanks The other thing I still can't seem to find is a 'reply' button. At present, if I don't want to quote a previous posting, I still hit 'quote' then delete the text. There must be a better way though?

Well, so far, they have told me everyone should go to their profile where we'll find a link to"This member's most recent posts/threads", or something very similar. I have now tried to explain to him why anyone would be interested in more than their own posts and why mods really need that option.
Sitting down and strapping in.
