I think the quote says a lot. It amounts to restoring equality between the activities traditional to each sex instead of the over-valuing of those traditional to men at the expense of women's because the former usually make somebody a profit. It's a bit sad that straight men haven't brought themselves as much into the home as women have out of it - and also runs the risk of restoring a belief that there is something 'queer' in some way or another about doing so. For all the pressure put on them against it, a lot of women, maybe most, still expect a 'rounded' life instead of suppressing the domestic side to be nothing more than the economic units traditionally expected of men. So presumably Lesbian households still reflect that women just do not have generations of being expected to sacrifice home life to an employer. If anything, those who could afford to have had rather too much pressure the other way. In April, in a paper published in the Journal of GLBT Family Studies, he and his colleagues reported that gay dads were more likely than straight to put their children before their careers, make significant changes in their lives to accommodate a child, and to strengthen bonds with extended families after becoming parents.
