"Women never forget anything. That's the point of a woman" Is there any (anecdotal) evidence to support this statement? I guess this is more of one for the guys, than the girls. But..... Ladylike input is encouraged. I mean, I still haven't got a handle on what women want, probably never will have one.

and you never will. i've spent more than a few dollars reading cosmopolitan and other such tripe, in an effort to gain an understanding. there is none. it is also true that women never forget. you and i could have a knock down, drag out, and kick the shyt out of each other, then go have a beer. when a female gets pissed, she stays that way forever

That's not so. It isn't that we stay pissed, it's that we don't forget what it was that got to us in the first place. And, if it keeps happening - over and over again - the "pissed" turns into resentment. I, personally, have a good memory. While I do spit and hiss now and then, I get over it quickly (unless it's something wicked and destructive). Don't actually forget about it - but can let it go while filing it away for future reference. OTOH, not remembering is convenient and serves men very well, doesn't it? ;D

"filing it away for future reference." That's exactly the sort of thing I worry about

Perhaps women might contend that this is because they are more sensitive compared to men. I think men, in general, know how to move on.

"filing it away for future reference." That's exactly the sort of thing I worry about particularly when the future could be five years after the fact. they remember something that you should have said, and didn't, last year, but don't remember that they were supposed to get something at the store yesterday

There certainly are little madams ready to use any petty grievance to get their own way because men would never be able to get away with it. That said though, I think women are often more concerned about a continuing underlying grievance that can come through in a variety of ways, where men are more conditioned to see the superficial variety as separate occurrences that women see as all part of the same problem.
