I used to get a package of ink pens, open it and take one out so I could cross things off my shopping list but I always made sure to put the open package on the checkout so I wouldn't be pinched for shoplifting I would never do that. Suppose you forgot your wallet instead of your pen? You cannot pay for the item, are you going to put it back in the damaged package? I always check my purse before I leave to ensure I have driver's license and debit card lol

I always check my purse before I leave to ensure I have driver's license and debit card lol I always check my wallet before I leave also, but I have forgotten my wallet before. Still, except for a resturant, you should not eat what you haven't yet paid for. A supermarket is not a place to eat unless it has a dining area, and supermarkets with dining areas have you pay before dining.
