you go off the rails when you get to your lunacy about israel, since the simple FACT is that the jews have a right to be there, and the palestinians do NOT Sorry, but the mere fact that you say something no more makes it true that if Stalin or Hitler said it. Why do Jews of European origin have any right to kick Palestinians out of their home than Christians of European origin to kick aboriginal Africans and Americans and Australian out of their home? Their remote ancestors came from there, even when converts married in? So who can not trace an ancestral claim to some place the ancestors who left it never wanted to see again? It's a good excuse to kick people out of course - like Partition, Protestants, Catholics and Muslims, Hindus have their own state, so get out to North or South Ireland, Pakistan or India. "When Hitler's methods proved too extreme, Europe and America contrived to support Israel to kick their Jews into" That's how a Sephardic lecturer at my college saw it. Why should Jews or anybody else have a world ghetto at the expense of the native people? Some Palestinians were Jews but denied the choice to identify as anti-Israel Palestinians along with the Christians and Muslims. Instead, they have to be seen as anti-Israel Israelis - that is, traitors. No other nation in the world justifies itself by appeal to a religious authority it explicitly rejected and which rejects it. Religious Jews hold Israel to be an abomination twice over, in that the Zionist movement was anti-religious and that from the religious viewpoint, Jews are the world's priests scattered throughout it and not to be closed off in a religious state until the Messiah hands it to them. Menachim Begin and his terrorists were not the Messiah. Any number of people can claim a homeland - Lin may well be aware of Romanistan - but about as many Romany want to go there as Jews free from persecution in Christendom ever wanted an Israel. They could have had it easily under the Ottomans since the Ottomans allowed 'local' government more on religious lines than ethnic or territorial. Christians came first under their Patriarchs before under regional governors. Jews could have been accommodated easily through a Chief Rabbi or even a rebuilt Temple, that even today only a few embarrassing extremists want. They turned the offer of a rebuilt Temple down in the 360s. Evidently, even 300 years after losing Herod's Temple (which their terrorists destroyed and none respected) they had moved on to a different kind of religious observance.

It's more usual to marvel at the sheer insanity and mad ignorance of offerings across the Web that at their reasonableness, so I'm offering this one as an example of raving common sense of the kind all too rare and often likely to get its proponents lynched for pulling the rug out from under the madmen. It raises the question though, just what is it that leads to the deep hatreds that go far beyond the mere understandable prejudices of liking or disliking how people may behave or think or look. In American racism perhaps a lingering guilt plays a part, as anti-Semitism flared in the later 1940s in countries like Poland: if it hadn't been for the Jews, there would have been no secret partition and invasion leading to war. Garbage of course. Then again, social Darwinism played a strong part in justifying slavery long before real Darwinism existed, and among those most opposed to it. The land squabble between Palestinians and Israelis is of the order of war between any colonized people and its colonizers, but its extension to Jews who do not support Israel enough to go there and often object to its existence and to Muslims who have never flocked to join the Palestinians in the way Europeans did to both sides of the Spanish Civil War is a different order of prejudice altogether. So just what different beliefs might motivate the zealots? And there's the name of what must be the original religious terrorist organization! Very thought provoking.... Somewhat simplistic (I know, I too have been accused of that)... Since Jews & Islamic peoples have lived in the area called Palistine for thousands of years....it would be truly difficult to identify what was the "original" terrorist organization. Since every piece of land in the world, has been fought over, many times... it's hard to say "who has the right"? All we can do now, is say, "we just will not tolerate murderous predjudice"... (and we really don't care when it started) We agree, at least the Spanish Civil War was fought, definitively.... and other than a few isolated Bask separatists....the killing was over. There has to be a point that the senseless slaughter of innocents is simply not tolerated. We just executed a bigotted, monster here in Texas.....Lawrence Brewer... Not because we "hated" him...some did, no doubt...but because we're fed up.... Not long ago, we executed Timothy McVeigh.....another child-killing, hatefull monster... We won't tolerate their depridations any longer, and we really don't care what their reasons are. When the Palistinians, and the Iranian leadership comes to the same logical understanding....(I believe Jordan, Saudi Arabia & Israel already HAS).... they will be fed up too...and send a strong message to the world... We will not tolerate this form of hatred....again.
