The Labour Party’s Tony Blair became Prime Minister of Britain, ending 18 years of conservative rule. At 44, he was the youngest prime minister in 185 years.

We've had better Prime Ministers and we've had worse ones. I think it was Blair's attempt to present himself as some kind of Messiah, together with his promise (naturally not kept) to "clean up politics" that made him more odious than usual to those of us on the political left.
On the right, of course, his principal crime was keeping the Conservative Party out of office and leading the Labour Party to three successive victories.
To me his principal crime was to be, like Cameron, a man utterly devoid of substance, ideas or principle. Even John Major had some principles and even more gravitas.
Possibly only the clown William Hague would have been a worse Prime Minister than Cameron and Blair over the last 10 years.
