A Deal looks impossible to achieve so the UK will start trading on WTO Terms, we could have done this 4 years ago but No, the moneymen in the City wanted their favourable terms and sod the rest of the UK.
""The EU insists that robust enforceable level playing field guarantees on tax, state aid, labour laws and the environment will protect their businesses from unfair competition and are the price for the zero tariff, zero quota market access on offer.
Ireland's deputy prime minister Leo Varadkar said that the EU needed to know the "the UK isn't going to undercut us on standards."
"Is Boris Johnson willing to make concessions in those areas? I think he probably is," he said, "I think his natural instincts are actually much closer to the more liberal London mayor that he was than the more conservative Brexiteer."
A meeting between Mr Johnson and Mr Varadkar in Cheshire last year led to a compromise over the Irish border backstop and paved the way for the ratification of the Withdrawal Agreement.
Mr Varadkar said "any set of level playing field rules, would have to be ones that the UK wouldn't feel are imposed on them."
He said, "I think where the sovereignty piece comes in and that will be a circle that's going to be hard to square."""

The British voted to regain sovereignty and that is what Boris has to sort out, he cannot do a half-sovereignty or a quarter sovereignty because the British would not accept this. All the faffing around means that the UK was financially punished for trying for the deal which the EU would never agree to for if they gave the UK a deal then others would leave and want the same deal, it's not rocket science but it is four wasted years and in those four years we could have done a deal with the USA as well as Australia, Canada etc. Now it will start from zero with a lot of grief
