I just finished Mohawk and have also read … Nobody's Fool and the sequel, Everybody's Fool ''' Straight Man, Empire Falls, Bridge of Sighs.
Russo generally writes about small towns in the northeast and people who inhabit them.
Each of the books I've read have been worth the time and I recommend them. The book I just finished, Mohawk, was his first published book and is a little more uneven than the others I've read, but still worth reading to the end.
If you read any of Russo's books, please post to this thread and let me know what you think.

Would you read them in the order he wrote them, or does it matter?
The only 2 you should read together is Nobody's Fool first and then Everybody's Fool. I think the others are stand alone, at least that's the way I am treating them.
Empire Falls was made into a very good movie, but even better if you read the book before watching it.
