brilliant sunshine and a clear blue sky.. and to day I shall get dressed......woweeeeee after two months am beginning to feel human again..... now if we could have some weather like to days but with higher temps... my cup would run over...will stay up for just about an hour...depending on my back.... yesterday I did an hour of sitting with occasional walks around and it went well.... Beth...see where the nearest outbreak of covid is.... if there is nothing in your area you should be ok.. that's the way it seems to work...but stay away from theatres and shopping mall and any where with with a recycled air system.. ….. some people here are still panic buying....what on earth will they do if it lasts a couple of months....

It's mild and rainy here. Now that Trump has backed off and quit yelling "Hoax", people are paying more attention to medical advice and avoiding crowds whenever possible. I, too, have a doctors appointment in a few days and am debating with myself whether to reschedule it or risk it. For all practical purposes, it's a hoax. The virus may actually exist, but it takes an advanced PCR and electron microscopy to confirm it. The average person will never have access to either in his/her lifetime. Furthermore, the Centers for Disease Control are wasting most of their time now chasing ghosts, which only increases the hysteria. It is indistinguishable from common influenza, so anyone who catches the flu will think s/he has this new, relatively harmless virus called COVID-19. you are wrong, Joe, and the President simply does not care. His only concern is making money for himself, his family and his cronies and winning the 2020 election so can continue to do that. The more people with your point of view, the more he is encouraged not to give a snap about how many die.

The burden of proof is on you, to show that I am. This "new" virus is only one of many in a large family of viruses christened "corona." Millions of us were infected with a coronavirus long before people in China came down with what is claimed as this new one. It's virulence and mortality are irrationally inflated, out of blind, irrational fear, and for political purposes. the President simply does not care. Care for what, exactly? A virus that isn't causing much harm? People die from viruses every day. That's a fact of life, a permanent component of the human condition. Nothing can be done about it.

the difference between this virus and common flu is that it quickly turns to Peumonia for any one with health problems known or unknown That is the hoax, that the vulnerable somehow don't acquire pneumonia accruing from common strains of influenza. They do, and they die by the hundreds of thousands every year, all across the world. It just isn't front-page news.

Paranoia creeps up on you silently and stealthily Jessie ! Most people affected will always deny that they are affected but Paranoia ends up ruining their lives, I should try to take a break from President Trump and his doings , concentate on something else for a while, I am telling you this for your own good !!

Five Covid-19 cases in RI as of today so we seem to be OK for the moment, so far I have only seen one person wearing a mask . Let's hope the virus dies out soon and life can revert to normal, my Wife and I want to go to Spain soon for the sunshine.

I work in a 5 physician cardiology practice 3 days a week. They are rescheduling their older patients appointments for mid to late April. I hope all is under control by then!
It's been very warm here today but the forecast is rain and turning cooler. We'll see.

It will get worse before it gets better in spite of your hopes. Stock up on food and paper products and wait it out. It's not hoarding, it's making the best of the situation. Spain will be there when it's safer to travel.

here is a personal account.. from some one in SEATTLE friends who got it were in their late 40s to early 50s. I’m in my mid 30s. "For us it was headache, fever (for first 3 days consistently and then on and off after 3 days), severe body aches and joint pain, and severe fatigue. "I had a fever that spiked the first night to 103 degrees and eventually came down to 100 and then low grade 99.5. "Some folks had diarrhea. I felt nauseous one day. Once the fever is gone some were left with nasal congestion, sore throat . "Only a very few of us had a mild itchy cough. Very few had chest tightness or other respiratory symptoms." The symptoms lasted between 10 and 16 days for the affected guests, but thankfully none of them were hospitalised.

yesterday .. dressed and stayed up until the middle of the afternoon … so I think its safe to say confinement is well and truly over..yayeeeeee… but best to stay away from random folk given my breathing problems.. but roll on spring and days for sitting in the garden... my friend with C is still sensibly sort of self isolating... she has cut out any gatherings large and small... so is going her walks and we have lng phone conversations...just for the time being... even a bad cold would be unpleasant for her.. judging by the strength of the last one she had which she passed on to me and we both needed medical intervention
the weather today is ocasionsional sun.. but bitter wind

Toby.. I doubt you will get to spain until this s over.. Brits have been told to stay away... and several places are going into lock down France is on the verge of lockdown... daughter in law is working from home now and granddaughters school as closed and she is having lessons via computer.....its her fianal year before she goes to uni...so its quite important the stock market crashes are wiping out quite a lot of investments..and pensions..thing is survive this virus and get wiped out by the market fall..ouch time all exchanges were halted.....to save any freefall

Every virus mutates. That's why flu shots have to be redone every year. There is nothing particularly important about this new strain of coronavirus. The only thing that is important, and is new, is social media-driven hysteria, and the quadrennial United States presidential election. There is no crisis. There is no "pandemic." It's just another virus, which no one will remember a year or two hence.

Are you still eating in restaurants? if you don't take it seriously, they need your patronage. They are getting hit pretty hard.

How would you define Pandemic, Joe. The Spanish flu of 1919 was a pandemic. The Black Death was a pandemic. When the bodies have to be burned for lack of burial space -- THAT is a pandemic. This is just a mild virus, and there is NO proof that this particular strain is responsible for deaths in normal, HEALTHY PEOPLE. Where are the hundreds of electron microscope photographs from infected people needed to confirm a particular strain of pestilence? Where are the autopsies? Are you still eating in restaurants? Of course I am. It hasn't affected my life one bit.
