Welcome to March!
There might be a little more winter weather, but winter is almost gone.

Anna meant to post this but I lost it..in answer to your post Anna.. I pulled my back..the spine is crumbling and on top of that had also slipped a disc.. so have been confined.. and only just begun to get to the bathroom.. havve a carer come in every day for my personal care things.. as I said.. just starting to move around and wham catch what we thought was a bad cold off a friend who came to see me.. turned out it wasn't a cold but was flu....am now coming to the end of my steroid treatment and my massive antibiotics.. and very boringly but safe.... still confined up stairs...but now moving much better... will get down stair this weekend if it kills me we don't do take outs if Grandsons are not around.. every thing is cooked from scratch... the carers who come in are very aware of the virus and do take all basic precautions ...as are friends.. so we take all care in every way… …..and you too Anna on the front line times like this all health staff are under pressure... … all things crossed for us all to come good out the other side .... ok this is a shrove tuesday football match which goes on for 4days.. and the goals are three miles apart Derbyshire men are tough.. and slightly unhinged www.facebook.com/BBCRadioDerby/videos/190333588901729/

It's a lovely sunny morning here, too. The forecast says temps in the low 60s today. Should be nice enough this afternoon to open a window or two.
mouse, I think you are a very strong woman to soldier on with so few complaints. It sounds like you're getting very good care. That's important, but your own attitude is as much or more so.
Audio books might be helpful to peak your interest.
Best wishes, always.

I may try to give it another whirl and see if I can get any where with it.. have to say I do miss reading.. but I do have all my other toys around tv/radio/puter/pens/etc etc .. and the phone..so am not isolated.. peeps usually phone just as am getting well into a play or film plot....and I can hardly shout at them for being kind ….thanks for the good wishes.. and I do hope the worst is now well and truly gone.. and that spring will not be too far away... the carers come via the NHS.. a totally new experience for me....they walz in.. all very efficient and also a very pleasant bunch of women.. as with any group some one likes better than others.and sense of humour vary too.... very dark and gloomy with light rain....this morning.. the floods are gradually receeding...what a horrible start to any week/month.. your home covered in slutch and muds....meanwhile Covid19 marches on..been found in Ireland...but no new cases neaer us......

Coronavirus is now active in New England, if you are over 60 it's a death sentence so be careful folks ! we plan to pull up the drawbridge if it gets any closer to us, the chances are it will get worse before it gets better and we are hoping for an early spring with hot weather because you don't see flu during the summer weather.

To Mouse, good wishes from us for your health !! Watch out for the Corona flu - Gargle with whiskey does help they say ! if its a death sentence over 60.. then I don't stand a cat n hells change... am well supplied with puffers of different types and have a box of Steriods to use in an emergency...… but what will be will be.. will worry about it if or when it happens but a good gargle with a fine old whiskey sounds the real deal.... and I shall of course take your advice... stay well......

No no ... we don't accept that! I know some over 60s who have better immune systems than others who are under 50. Seniors have, in many cases, built up good immunity because they pay more attention to good health.
Chin up.

yesterday turned into a glourious day... will today do the same... its raining and rather dark ...got halfway down the stairs and then daughter insisted I return to the top... so perhaps to day it will be all the way down.. a stop in the living room and then back up.. I shall consider it a personal victory...........our neibour who replaced the horrible couple no one liked... brought flowers round yesterday.. which was very kind …..other than that.. nothing worth mentioning happening

Chin up. all depends on the underlying health problems .. am certainly not going to worry about it,, what will be will be.....the usual figures for flue ordinary flue are around 400,000 per yr.....this out brea so far has killed less than 4000...…..thyere does seem to be spectacular hype and overboard frenzy at the moment...…. I remember the big Asian Flu outbreak in the 1950,s.. people really were dropping like flies.. don't remmeber people dying but it certainly laid the populatin low,,,,, no new cases of coronavirus have been declared near us....so its still just one person who had been in Italy

I'm glad you're making progress, mouse.
I'm a little under the weather today but nothing to do with a virus.
I worked and had lunch. Now, I'm going to rest and read a bit. Probably be back after while.
It's partly cloudy/sunny with mild temps here today.
Have a good'un
