@beth."May as well watch their content on TV." I make a point never to buy anything that has been pushed at me in agressive advertizing ! I also use adblock but it interferes with some info channels. I keep IP Vanish on at all times and I have it set to Frankfurt in Germany which means I get German adverts. We were told that our machines do not sent any information back to home base about us, this is a lie of course, the very purpose of the PC is to gather information about our surfing so somebody can sell it on to somebody who can use it. I buy guns and ammunition from the Gunbroker website here in the USA but if the VPN is turned on using certain European locations then I cannot access the Gunbroker website because European countries don't like their citizens to know about the low prices of weapons in the USA. I reckon it will get worse ! lol Now you've done it and I have to ask ... why are you buying guns at all .. assuming you already have guns. Otherwise, I don't feel the need to protect myself that much online. Fret and I have control over the ads on this site and nobody bothers me on gmail. It's good to be cautious but unless I start to feel annoyed, I'll stay loose about the whole thing. To be honest, I think Face Book may be at the heart of all the invasion of privacy.

a brighter morning and no wind and no rain.... it hammered down last night the noise on the windows meant I had to turn up the volume of my TV.... grandson 2 is coming back today so he can vote tomorrow.. be nice to see him ….if only for a brief time.. and grandson 1 keeps me informed of the French shenanigans ..as does DIL in Paris all interesting stuff.... some very large protests going on.. as those protesting the pensions have joined up with the yellow vests …..

another wet day... we drove up to the church and did our demorcratic duty....seems to be a steady stream of people ……or as the political speak goes.... """a brisk turn out""""
it wouldn't surprise me if labour gets in.....or if it is a hung parliament... be pretty awful if they do..... but as long as there is no question of cheating then so be it... and we will only be able to object on policies still fingers crossed we will get the lesser of two evils
re Corbyn...wouldn't supris me if he isn't replaced at some point or perhaps just left as a figure head ….wonder what position the fragrant Dianne will hold before being carted of the the asylum for re-education..and an early pension or the house of Lords while it still exists and most of all just how much a labour win is going to cost us .....a labour win and watch the cash fly out of the country plus renationalisation.....billions

the conservatives got in... lots punishment meted out.. the leader of the Liberal Demorcrats… jo swinson lost her seat... thus is no longer the lib dum leader... only last week she was telling all who would listen that she would be the next Prime Minister seats fell to the conservatives that had been labour sinsce the end of ww1.. it was crushing as the red wall crumbled...... in Scotland it was very nearly a totally SNP victory....Wales went conservative with one or two exception..... so what a night... I didn't go to bed until after 4am.....and now its time to break away from the last few stagnant years......walk away from the disgusting eu… resolve any agreements made that are not in our interests... and use the 1 year adjustment/transition period and start looking at trade agreements etc etc …. .. at the same time looking for ...big improvement in education.. health services... immigration and the infrustructure ie roads utilities etc the red wall is a term for the great traditional labour areas from the Midlands up to the North east....where to vote for any one other than labour was heresy and class traitorism of the worst kind … they even vote for a monkey once ……
oh and the weather is vile.. wet and more wet and dark as well..... grandson has returned back his abode he will return on the 21st until the new year......daughter and he put up the tree and the mantele shelf garland so at least we are looking a little festive....

wet and horrible .. though not quite as dark the socialist worker quickly got to work printing out placards as soon as the polling vote was known and yesterday we were able to watch long haired minor versions of Corbyn gathering under slogans such as """not my prime minister""" and ""no tory rule"""..... seems those who spout words such as rights and democracy are the first to wail when things don't go their way...… still I guess it gives them something to do to pass the hours as obviously they have no jobs to go to
yesterday I heard our new government reffered to as ...very far right...I do wish people could understand the meanings of the words they toss around so freely....

Our weatherman says today is cold and cloudy. That's the kind of forecast Id hate to hear on weekdays but don't mind on weekends. I've had to work a half day today but now it's time to go home so snow won't be bad as long as they get busy and clear the roads before Monday morning.

its snowed here although it on all the tops of hills .. so it looks pretty from a distance... much wailing and gnashing of teeth still going on over the election result..... some still in denial that it was a cold and deliberate revenge served cold...on those who wanted to ignore the referendum result...… and all those who wanted to remain have with only few exceptions been kicked out of Westminster...… so the opposition now have to find a leader.. and do their job as an opposition.... because democracy works best when it has to come up to scratch and a worthy opposition keeping government on its toes.... will Boris be a good PM... well I have no idea... I am neither for nor against him at this point..like a great many people I will wait and see... what we did know was what we didn't want ie Corbyn and those around him.....

It's cold but dry and expected to continue like this all day.
My son and daughter-in-law came calling this a.m. with breakfast (muffins, cream cheese, fruit jam and bacon), a few new Xmas decorations and a 2 hour long tape of Mannheim Steamroller Xmas music. .. lol Also, today's Sunday newspaper with a section of holiday sale ads. :)
We have put up the tree, decorated it and hung a wreath on the front door.
I wasn't expecting it. We had fun and there's no mess to clean up.
One of their gifts to the household is a setup so I can get YouTube on my TV. Very nice indeed, since I seldom watch TV.
Hope all are having nice weekends.

The kids and I went out and bought a live tree and some extra trimmings early this morning.
Now it's spitting snow and I'm glad we got the shopping over with.

dry cold morning with no sunshine and still some are wailing about the election result.....how pathetic do they have to be... it couldn't be clearer....and Corbyn is one of the worst and I gather he is refusing to resign now and iss aying he will go in march[go as leader not go as an MP.. as an MP he will just go back to the back benches where he spent his career] the fight for the leadership has begun... who will win.. will there be another Marxist/communist ir will it be some one more center…….

It is cold today but with blue skies and sun. A few patches of snow left on the ground from the weekend.
This is the time of year we settle in and stay in town, snug and warm, until spring. The tree is up, the gifts are wrapped and all that is left is to buy the eggnog and Xmas rum.

We're under a winter storm warning, but if it does hit it probably won't be til tonight or tomorrow.
Two of our kids are in a candlelight cantata at the local church on the weekend. If it's going to snow - get it over with NOW!
