Still summer here and supposed to be hot tomorrow.
Jessie, remember that walking your dog includes winter days too and even in the rain.

It's hot here - upper 80s F and clear skies.
I tried to long on earlier today but the site froze up on me. Glad to see things are back and running.

We are still looking at the pros and cons of getting a dog. Our house in town, where we spend most of our time, especially in fall and winter, has a deck and a small yard, so it would be our responsibility to walk the dog each day. Friends tell us a miniature poodle would be a good choice as they are intelligent and easily trained. In the next few days, we are going to visit with a breeder for more information and a close up look at the breed.
I was thinking more of a cocker spaniel but understand they are not very easy to house train.

Take care of you both, Sys3. No fun being ill, especially with nice weather to enjoy.

Jessie... cockerspanials are terribly yappy and can get quite hysterical.....if we were to get another it would be a king Charles spanial like jakie[who we look after some times]not to large and not toosmall good natured and not yappy, and pays back love and attention I n buckets... very much a lap/house dog and easy to house train

My parents finally had to unhook the bell. A knock at the door excited him but not THAT much.

a nother glorious morning after a cold night....and to day no waiting for the fog to burn off.....staying home to take advantage of this good spell That sounds very nice, mouse. Our nights are still warm and mostly clear with many stars. Right now it is still too warm for fall clothing. I have 4 new cool weather tops I bought at the end-of-winter sales back in March and have not yet gotten to wear. Then, my daughter came in yesterday with a nice deep pink pullover and gray slacks that make another nice new outfit. I am ready for fall whenever it gets here. Thank you all for the advice about dogs. We are in no hurry, but planning to go to a couple of breeders next week to talk with them and look around. Only one of our neighbors has a dog, and it is a white miniature poodle. We also may consult withthem.
