I lurve this aritcle and no I have no link...but it doesn't matter.. it sums up the idiocy of PC and the nonsence of so called inappropriate appropriation ... and above all the hypocracy where such false outrage from very small political groups are allowed or even encouraged to demand the majority dance to their idiot mantra
Bill Maher addressed this Halloween PC nonsense on his Real Time show last week when he said; 'The Office of Scolding Justice Warriors has decreed no Indian chiefs, no hula girls, no Southern belles, no Daniel Boone, no geishas, no ninjas, no gypsies, no mobsters, no terrorists, no Cleopatra. Pirates offend one-eyed people, you can't dress as a hobo because it makes light of the homeless, you can't dress as Quasimodo because it offends hunchbacks, you can't dress as an escaped mental patient because… it offends Kanye.' In short, you can't go as anyone. Well, except Donald Trump because the PC rules on offensiveness don't apply to him. Yet the people screaming about all this stuff are in fact a very small majority. As Maher said, a recent poll revealed that 80% of Americans hate the new PC culture including most African-Americans, Asians, Hispanics and Native Americans. So the perpetually whining and outraged 'woke' snowflakes are not speaking for the majority, and they're not even speaking for the people they assume are feeling victimised. Despite this, their bullying and squealing works. Last month, an innocuous 'Brave Red Maiden' Handmaid's Tale Halloween costume was pulled by online retailer Yandy after Twitter-led protests that it mocked rape.

You realize Bill's a comic but he does often hit the nail on the head. My neck of the woods is not very PC when it comes to Halloween. We had a little of everything. Quite a few clowns.

I don't care what a person is if they hit nail on head...an awful lot of brits are sick of the PC and rightons too..... several backlashes here including one stupid woman being removed from her post for her idiotic statements .... its one thing to have alternative ideas... but its another thing to try and bludgeon the rest of society into taking on those ideas

The only thing that surprises me is that Maher got away with it.
Where was the outrage, the twitterstorm, and where were the thought police?

Perhaps you do not know Americans as well as you think you do, Fret. It seems that you are behind us on the curve for a change. I don't know Americans, but I do know the lunatic ideological imports that come from America, so that will have to suffice Britain's biggest police force has set up a controversial unit – dubbed as ‘thought police’ by critics last night – to investigate offensive comments. It will be supported by an army of volunteers trained to seek out anything they deem inappropriate on social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3739348/Scotland-Yard-ploughs-2million-new-thought-police-unit-snoop-web-users-hunt-trolls.htmlBut then we have an unwritten constitution...
