I was sure .. well, almost sure, she wouldn't let us down. Good goin'!!! The GOP will have to pretend they are going to keep it alive and find a way to ram it through soon, but I think it will be awhile .. a year or 2 anyway.

I felt sure Ms. Collins was up to the challenge and would not let so many people down. It is very obvious which of our lawmakers listen to the people and which are intent on trying to satisfy their doners. When most of the medical community of a country rises up and protests against a pending bill for changing our system of health care, it should be a signal for everyone to listen.

Everybody I work with - and I DO mean everybody - is very happy the ACA repeal did not pass and everybody's still covered with adequate insurance for their needs. Maybe now, if Congress is determined to replace ACA, they can put together a good bipartisan bill so nobody will get hurt too bad.

I think I heard they ARE working on a bi-partisan patch for ACA that will let people in some states go across state lines to get a little better price on their polities. Not sure that would pass or not sure it would work. Trump's only interest is to kill "ObamaCare" and claim credit for it. In his mind that will make him a winner.

It's probably a good idea to keep an eye on the Freedom Caucus to be sure they don't sneak anything in attached to another bill when nobody's expecting it. Otherwise, they'll all probably be busy enough with Tax Reform and the budget that this will be okay for awhile.

media does a pretty good job with digging out what they are up to. I don't think anybody trusts them to leave health care alone for long. iThey want to dole out tax cuts to the rich and they have to find the money to do that. They had been counting on stripping health care to get part of it, or so I hear.
