went to Farmer's Market and spent far to much time looking for a parking spot...I hate parallel parking so am picky.
I got some nice fat peapods and a golden squash which is something new to me.
I'm still adjusting to the higher prices at the market compared to the grocery store so keep reminding myself these are homegrown and the result of someone's hard work and love of bringing us fresh veggies.

Golden squash tastes like zucchini. You can bake it with spices to give it a flavor all its own.
Enjoy.

Good morning! It is very sunny here but not hot. At the moment we have 68 degrees F, but it will climb to 80 F by early afternoon. That makes it almost perfect weather for me. I have fresh peaches so plan to make 2 peach cobblers, one with nuts and raisins, and one without.
I have a new book to read, so that will take care of most of the afternoon.
Good luck getting a photo of the little dog, mouse. Does this mean you're almost ready for another dog of your own?

Jessie.. I think we both quite like the idea of another dog but commonsense say NO... they are far too tying and its always a question of getting back to let the dog out or what ever.... [our neighbour was very kind in that respect when we had Em.. I am no longer up to taking a dog for walks in all weathers so it would all fall on daughter... who is now relishing her freedom from animals and son...she can go away on more or less a whim or stay overnight etc etc .. its a lot to give up to become a full time carer to a pup so sadly we wont be having another .. as far as the photo goes.. I got a couple not very good so will try again to day
today we have bright sunshine but the sky is sort of grey to the west.. so it may rain

The corn (on the cob) is soooo good this time of year! I'll have a chance to go to Farmer's Market on Saturday. Going to buy corn enough for 2 meals, tomatoes (beef steak), squash and apples. I'll take the apples and some of the corn to my mom and hope she'll make an extra apple cobbler for me. The prices are higher, chef, but it's worth it for the tomatoes and corn at least. The taste is a lot better. p.s. My daughter starts Kindergarten in 2 weeks. Thhe school gives them Apple I pads! She has a Kihndle so she's ready!

I buy Green Giant frozen corn on the cob....less headaches in cooking lol After Jessie said the golden squash was a zucchini I trashed it...wasted $1 but not fond of zucchini.think I overdosed in the 70's when it was the rage.

PB was hicupping for a bit about an hour ago...anyone else have problems? It's fine now but took forever to get website to appear. There was a bad freeze and then a lot of scrolling. It looks okay now at 8/11 3:16 am. I went off line and rebooted my computer which seemed to help. I lost a couple of things I had meant to post. Too bad.
